Wichita police arrest a burglary suspect after he returns to the scene of the crime riding a bicycle. Around 6:00 Friday morning, police say a family was asleep in their home in the 2100 block of E. 9th when a man broke in a basement window. "I was looking through this window right here, and he was coming out of here and then ran that way," said victim Abel Madrgal. Madrgal says his family work up as the man rummaged through the home's basement and garage. The suspect didn't take anything from the basement.

Wichita police say a teenager they say posted a photo of a gunshot wound he got during a recent burglary is now in custody. Wichita Police Lt. Doug Nolte says Casey Toothman was taken into custody Thursday after a tip from the public. Police say a citizen reported what kind of vehicle Toothman was driving. Officers pulled him over at Kellogg and Grove Thursday evening and arrested him. Police say Toothman called police and left a voicemail for detectives stating that he was going to turn himself in on Friday.

See Surveillance Images From the Robbery Two burglars stole thousands of dollars worth of electronics during a smash and grab at Target in east Wichita. Police responded to a burglary alarm at the Target on Towne East Drive around 4:15 a.m. Wednesday. They arrived to find shattered glass doors at the store's front entrance.

The Reno County Sheriff's office has now captured two suspects after searching for several hours Monday night. Officers believe one of the suspects may have escaped from the Kansas Department of Corrections. What started as a burglary call in Reno County carried into Sedgwick County with police searching for the two suspects for hours. Reno County Sheriff, Randy Henderson, said that at 5:09 pm, Steven Schrock was working in a field in the area of Arlington Rd and Victory Rd, just south of Haven.

A suspect search is underway in northern Reno County tonight. Authorities are searching the area around 95th and Lorraine in Hutchinson. Map - Location of Search The search started Tuesday afternoon after neighbors saw a man running out of their house. He is described as a White male, late 20s, wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, khaki shorts and a khaki hat. He has a tattoo on his right arm. Investigators say guns and a vehicle were stolen from a home in the area on Monday.

CRIME STOPPERS CASE #733 FOR THE WEEK SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2007 The Wichita Police Department needs your help to solve a burglary. Early in the morning of September 13, 2007, officers were called out to an alarm at Winfield Motor Company located at 2621 South Broadway Avenue. As they were searching the business, a suspect ran out of the back of the building into some woods. Officers found that several electrical lines were cut. Taken in the burglary was more than $3000.

Three people have been charged in connection to raping an elderly woman in her southeast Wichita home over the weekend. Prosecutors charged John Edward Thompson, Jr., 18, with one count of rape, one count of aggravated burglary and one count of aggravated robbery. He remains jailed on $250,000 bond. Thompson is expected to return to court June 26 for a preliminary hearing. A co-defendant, Jessica Ward, was also charged with aiding and abetting for her role in the case.

After living in her house for more than half a century, a Wichita woman is moving-out, because she doesn't feel safe anymore. Officers say the 76-year-old was raped and robbed early Friday morning. “She reported that she was awakened by at least one intruder who was armed with a gun. The intruder sexually assaulted her,” Wichita Police Lt. Randy Reynolds said. We spoke to the victim's son off camera Monday.
