Despite a double-double from sophomore Alex Harden, the Shockers fall to Bradley 75-55 on Sunday afternoon at Charles Koch Arena. Harden scored 11 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and handed out six assists to lead the Shockers. Jessica Diamond, Jazimen Gordon and Darice Fountaine added 10 points apiece. Katie Yohn had a double-double of her own for the Braves with 21 points and 10 rebounds on 10-for-16 shooting. Shronda Butts had 19 points while Kelsey Budd and Catie O'Leary added 13 points apiece to the Bradley effort.

Alex Harden and Jasmine Jones both recorded career highs in points, scoring 20 and 16 respectively, to lead the Shockers past Creighton, 67-45, on Saturday night at Charles Koch Arena. Jones also recorded four assists, while Michelle Price contributed a career high six steals in the Shocker effort. Sarah Nelson led the Bluejays, scoring 17 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Ally Nelson added 10 points and eight rebounds. Creighton (12-4, 4-1) jumped out to an early 8-0 lead, forcing head coach Jody Adams to take a timeout at the 18:15 mark in the first half.

The freshman duo of Alie Decker and Michaela Dapprich combined for 34 points to power Wichita State to a non-conference victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff, 81-43, Saturday afternoon in Charles Koch Arena. Decker and Dapprich, playing their most significant minutes of the season following early season injuries, set career highs with 19 points and 15 points respectively in the dominating effort over the Lady Lions (2-5) of the SWAC Conference. Due in large part to the freshman duo the Shockers bench outscored the Lady Lions bench, 58-19.

A 16-6 run to begin the second half proved to be the difference as unbeaten Kansas State (6-0) was able to hold off a furious Wichita State (3-5) comeback over the game's final eight minutes to take the intrastate tilt, 48-43, Wednesday night in Charles Koch Arena. Jessica Diamond led the Shockers with 13 points on 5-of-14 shooting. Chynna Turner and Alex Harden each chipped in nine points for Wichita State as the Shockers shot 48 percent in the second half. Michelle Price added 10 rebounds including three offensive.

Wichita State defeated Harding University, 88-47, at Charles Koch Arena on Sunday afternoon in its first exhibition game of the 2012-13 women's basketball season. Sophomore Alex Harden paced the Shockers with 14 points, and senior Chynna Turner led all Shockers with five rebounds. The Shockers used pressure defense all afternoon and held the Lady Bisons to just 32.6 percent (14-43) from the field and 30.8 percent (4-13) from the three-point line in the game. In the first half, senior Jazimen Gordon went a perfect 4-4 from the field and 1-3 from the free throw line to lead all scorers and Turner added eight points with a team-high four rebounds.

Sam Sanders tied her career-high with 17 kills to lead the Shockers to a 3-1 win at Oklahoma. Wichita State won by scores of 25-21, 25-21, 22-25 and 25-14. Emily Adney added 11 kills and 10 digs, while Chelsey Feekin had eight kills, 42 assists and nine digs and Jackie Church had 25 digs. OU took an early 8-5 lead in the first set, but the Shockers finally tied it at 13 on a kill by Elizabeth Field. The first Shocker lead came at 15-14 on a kill by Ashley Andrade and the two teams traded points until the Shocks took a 20-17 lead on a service ace by Ashlyn Driskill.

Wichita State scored 33 points off of Evansville turnovers in a 69-43 Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball win Sunday at Charles Koch Arena. The Shockers forced the visiting Purple Aces into 28 turnovers, including 18 in the first half, which propelled Wichita State's offense at the other end of the court. Junior Jessica Diamond and freshman Alex Harden paced Wichita State with 14 points each. Diamond added a team-leading three steals. The Shockers combined for 14 steals Sunday in front of a home crowd of 1,777.

Wichita State senior center Garrett Stutz picked up his eighth double-double of the season Saturday as he led the Shockers to a 71-66 win against Indiana State at Charles Koch Arena. Stutz led all players with 24 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and a career-high five blocks in the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball game in front of a crowd of 10,458. The Shockers improved to 20-4 overall and 11-2 in Valley play, tying Creighton at the top of the league standings.

Four Wichita State (13-6, 7-1) players scored in double figures and the Shockers used clutch free throw shooting in the final minutes to help them in a 74-63 win over the Indiana State Sycamores(10-10, 4-4) on Sunday afternoon. The Shockers were 8-for-8 from the free throw line in the closing minutes of the game. Jazimen Gordon and Haleigh Lankster each scored 16 points to lead WSU and Lankster finished with a double-double as she pulled down a game-high ten rebounds. Jessica Diamond added 15 points and the junior guard has now scored in doubles figures in eight-straight games, and 18 of WSU's 20 games this season.

Plagued by cold shooting and untimely turnovers Wichita State couldn't cash in on their bid to set a new school record for consecutive victories falling to Illinois State, 68-59, Friday night at Charles KochArena. Trailing by as many as 18 points in the second half the Shockers were unable to close the gap, in front of a home crowd of 3,573, any closer than nine points as the Redbirds found a way to thwart each Shocker run to maintain a comfortable lead throughout. Jessica Diamond scored 15 points to lead the Shockers while Jazimen Gordon and Haleigh Lankster scored 12 and 10 points respectively.
