(WICHITA, Kan.) The big game, on the big screen, was only the warm-up at Emerson Biggins on Saturday afternoon. At least that's what managers were hoping. "We're expecting our business to increase immensely," said Marketing Manager Thomas Lyons. Sitting within just a few blocks of the arena, the sports bar is already coming up with ways to draw concert goers into their seats before and after the shows. Cashing in on a piece of the business the arena brings with.

By Kim Hynes (WICHITA, Kan.) Country artist Tim McGraw announced Friday he'll perform at the new Intrust Bank Arena. The concert will be June 11th. "I'm real excited to have this opportunity to hit the road next year with the 'Southern Voice' tour and look forward to playing new songs and old favorites for all my fans," McGraw said. He's one of many artists who have recently added the new arena to their concert tours. Brad Paisley, Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi will also perform at the downtown venue.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Thousands of military families will be honored during a special concert for children on the eve of President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration. Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers are slated to perform at the Monday night event. The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced Wednesday that tickets have been distributed to families through the Department of Defense. The concert will be held at the Verizon Center in downtown Washington and will be televised on the Disney Channel.

Pop super-star Jewel was in town March 28 for a concert sponsored by KFDI and Club Liquid to benefit the homeless in Wichita. She did a great acoustic set with some of her older hits and her new ones where she's making a change to the world of country music.

Joe Worrel, guitarist, songwriter, vocalist and bass guitarist, started playing guitar at age 7. By the time he was 15 he was performing over 250 dates a year with the Matt and Robyn Rolf show at state fairs, conventions, legion halls, VFW's, concert halls and radio shows.
