Julie Linhart's family joins a growing list of victims with similar stories. “We were just shocked,” says Linhart. Linhart's son sold a motorcycle on Craigslist to Robert Janzen. Like many other victims, Linhart was never paid. “He was always so apologetic,” says Linhart who reported it to police after hearing about our first story last week. The victims all posted ads selling vehicles on Craigslist, and were contacted by Robert Janzen.

It's a first of its kind in Kansas, according to Wichita attorney Dan Monnat. The state of Kansas is demanding William Marotta of Topeka help support a lesbian couple's three-year-old daughter. In 2009, Marotta answered the couple's ad on Craigslist for a sperm donor. He delivered the sperm to their house, which the couple inserted on their own. Marotta also signed away all parental rights. The problem is, he didn't realize that state law still considers him the birth father and responsible for supporting the child since a physician wasn't involved in the insemination.

A number of websites announced they will effectively shut down for 12 to 24 hours on Wednesday to protest two laws Congress is considering. The House of Representatives are considering a bill called the Stop Online Piracy Act, H.R. 3261, while the Senate is drafting the Protect IP Act. Both have the support of the record companies and Hollywood studios. They allege web piracy is harming their business and is costing their employees their jobs. Web companies, though, worry the laws will harm free speech.

The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington - CREW for short - cites news reports that say House members and some senators have paid below-market rents to live in a house on C Street SE that is owned by a Christian prayer group known as the Fellowship.

While Kansas sees almost everything, there are five that stand out in 2010. #1 Mystery Shopping “Number one is going to be mystery shopping and shop at home,” says Robbie Namee with the Better Business Bureau.

WASHINGTON (AP) - President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration is expected to draw 1 million-plus to the capital, and already some lawmakers have stopped taking ticket requests and hotels have booked up. Some people are bartering on Craigslist for places to stay for the Jan. 20 ceremony when the Illinois senator takes the oath of office. They are offering cash or even help with dishes for residents willing to open up their homes. The National Park Service, which is planning for an inaugural crowd of at least 1 million, will clear more viewing space along the Pennsylvania Avenue parade route.
