A tipster calls Crime Stoppers and gives enough information for authorities to arrest four people in connection with the murder of former South High School football player Jordan Turner. Two men and two women are each being held at the Sedgwick County jail on a $1 million bond.  Three of the suspects face charges of first degree murder.  They include, 20-year-old Kristofer Jaquinton Wright, 18-year-old Emmalynn Spencer and 21-year-old Ebony Nguyen.  21-year-old Eric Jackson faces charges of aggravated assault.

From now until January 15, 2008, Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County is offering a maximum reward payout of $2,500.00 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s) in the robbery/sexual assault that occurred on North Edgemoor on December 21, 2007. If anyone has any information about this crime, they can call Crime Stoppers at (316) 267-2111 (toll free at 1-800-222-TIPS). Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County is a non-profit organization of citizens against crime.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office says a tip to Crime Stoppers helped them track down four people accused in the death of 19-year-old Jordan Turner. We hear about the Crime Stoppers Tip Line all the time. They offer cash rewards for anonymous tips leading to arrests in local cases. But, if you don't ever leave your name - how do you claim a reward? The Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County Gordon Bassham says the organization goes to great lengths to make sure tipsters remain anonymous, and to make sure they are able to claim rewards.

Officials hope doubling the reward money will help garner tips to solve a Wichita Cold Case. Each week through the end of the year, the Wichita Police Department and Crime Stoppers will focus on a series of unsolved homicides and encourage citizens to provide information about them anonymously to Crime Stoppers. Anyone who provides a tip on any of these crimes that leads to an arrest on those cases will receive $2,000, twice the normal Crime Stoppers reward. This week, the Wichita Police Department is focusing on the murder of 55-year-old Chris Jones.

Crime Stoppers of Wichita/Sedgwick County is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect or suspects in Wichita's latest homicide.   The body of 41-year-old Marshall K. Hauschulz was discovered shortly before 8:30 a.m. on Friday, December 16, along the Arkansas riverbank near Central and Nims Streets.   The cause of death appears to be blunt-force trauma caused by an unknown weapon.   Anyone having information about this or any felony crime should call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.  Citizens can also submit a tip online at www.wsccs.com or from a mobile phone by texting TIP217 then the message to CRIMES (274637)

The Sedgwick County Sherriff's office said Tuesday an individual profiled as the registered offender of the week was recently captured. Thomas W. Kopetzky was profiled as the Crime Stoppers registered offender of the week on December 19, 2011. Kopetzky was wanted by the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office for failure to register as a sex offender. On December 19, 2011, deputies received a tip indicating that Kopetzky was currently living at an address on North Wellington Place. Deputies went to this location and arrested Kopetzky Crime Stoppers, in conjunction with the Sheriff's Office, distributes a weekly “offender of the week” to the media.

Wichita police say a Dollar General store was robbed at 2747 W. Pawnee on September 25 th .  Two men wearing bandanas entered the business around closing time. One suspect pulled out a knife and ordered the 60-year old cashier to open the registers. The other held an 18 year-old employee on the ground while the first suspect took the money. There were no injuries. Suspect number one is described as a black male, about five-feet-four-inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds, and wearing a red shirt with Nebraska on the front, red pants, a black Red Sox cap, black shoes and a black bandanna over his face.  Suspect number two is described as a black male, about five-feet-seven-inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds, and wearing a black shirt, white shorts and a red bandanna over his face.  Anyone having information about this or any felony crime should call Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.  Citizens can also submit a tip online at www.wsccs.com or from a mobile phone by texting TIP217 then the message to CRIMES (274637)

They didn't cause any damage, but Wichita police are looking for whoever set chemical two bombs up outside an apartment complex on N. Market Sunday afternoon. One of those bombs went off. The department's explosives team rendered the second device safe and collected evidence from the scene. Police tell us the bombs are common devices that kids make. They are dangerous and can cause significant damage and injuries. Anyone who may have seen someone carrying the devices or setting them in that area is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 267-2111.

A reward has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for starting the Island Park fire in Winfield. Crime Stoppers of Cowley County is offering up to a $1,000 reward.  The fire broke out just before 10 p.m. March 14. The playground is a total loss. Click here to view photos of the fire It is the second time the playground has burned to the ground. The Wichita Police Department and Crime Stoppers have doubled the reward for information leading to an arrest in a cold case homicide. Crime Stoppers is focusing on a different cold case each week through the end of the year in hopes of encouraging residents to come forward with information. This week, the focus is on the death of 19-year-old Justin Cook who died in 2009. Police say on the evening of January 25, 2009, Cook attended a party at the Cambridge Suites hotel in the 700 block of South Main St. A second party was also being held at the same location.

A Wichita man is stabbed by his girlfriend overnight. Police were called to the scene around 3:00 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of East 12th Street. Police say the 49-year-old man had been stabbed multiple times.      The victim was taken to Via Christi on St. Francis in serious condition. The suspect has not been found. Authorities in western Kansas are searching for suspects accused of burglarizing a Dodge City Country Club. Police said three men broke into the business in the 1900 block of Country Club Drive Dec. 25, 2012. The suspects stole various items, although a total loss value has not been released.  Click here to see surveillance photos of the crime Surveillance cameras captured the crime. Now investigators are asking for help identifying the suspects. The Wichita Police Department and Crime Stoppers hope doubling the reward for certain cold cases will help bring in more tips. They've featured a different cold case each week since late-October. This week, they're asking for tips in a double homicide case from 2009. Police say a large group of people gathered in the 2900 block of N. Dunham on January 24, 2009. The address was the longtime home of 47-year-old Somphit "Sophie" Makthepharak, who'd passed away on January 15th of that year.

The Wichita Police Department and Crime Stoppers hope more reward money will lead to more tips into a Wichita cold case. They're featuring a different cold case each week through the end of the year. This week, they're focusing on the death of 23-year-old Samuel Springsteen. Springsteen was found with a gunshot wound to his head in the 5100 block of E. Bayley in the early-morning hours of May 27 of this year. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
