While others read the latest from the New York Times best sellers list---I'm stuck with 'Know Your Trash', a step by step directive on how to prepare your refuse for pickup in Tulsa. I'm not sure I could recommend it, although the chapter on how to properly prepare a dead animal for the trash man was an all-time first. Pleasant surprise--- I watched about three quarters of the NBA playoff between the Clippers and Grizzlies last night and I've got to tell you---Chris Webber is one of the best analysts in the game.

China's Tianlang Guan shot 73 at the Master's on Thursday which, in and of itself, isn't overly impressive - until you learn that Guan is 14 years old. That's 14 as in popping zits and still finding humor in fart jokes---are you kidding me? Masterful? I wish that Tiger Woods hadn't gone with the 'winning takes care of everything' tag in his latest Nike spot. It has too much of a double entendre - sure, we all know about his struggles to get back to the world's top ranking, but the thought that winning takes care of his continuous infidelities is ridiculously arrogant.

The Kansas City Royals are happy to be leaving the West Coast and done with the Seattle Mariners until next season. Felix Hernandez shook off a line drive to his left wrist and threw seven strong innings, and the Mariners overcame bullpen problems to beat the Royals 7-6 on Sunday for a four-game sweep. It was the second time this season the Royals were swept in a four-game series and the first time Seattle has done it against Kansas City since May 2001. The sweep in Seattle concluded a miserable 1-6 West Coast swing for the Royals and a 1-7 stretch overall against the Mariners since the All-Star break.
