A community college baseball player isn't letting cancer keep him out of the game. Skylar Hill , Barton Community College sophomore, was recently diagnosed with cancer. He threw the first pitch against Hutchinson Community College Saturday night. The team held a strike out cancer fundraiser to help pay for Hill's medical bills. He started chemotherapy treatments this week, but will undergo another round in a couple of weeks. "Baseball has been there your whole life and then it kinda gets taken away from you," Hill said.

We have seen a lot of photos in the past few days, but there might be clues in those snapshots that the average person would not notice. Eyewitness News wanted to know why investigators are not releasing more information. "For an investigation to be good, we shouldn't know and we can't know," said former FBI agent Dan Jablonski. Jablonski says giving the public too much information right now could hurt the investigation. After 28 years in the Bureau, he thinks the Boston explosions were an act of revenge.

Fire investigators are trying to figure out what sparked a fire in a Wichita home. Crews were called to the house in the 1000 block of N. Cleveland shortly after 11:30 this morning. No one was hurt. The fire was contained to the attic of the home and caused $30,000 to the home and contents. Stay with Eyewitness News for any further details.

Across the country Americans stopped to watch what was going in Boston Monday afternoon. But at local running store GoRun Wichita they were looking for news of friends and co-workers. GoRun workers have been in contact with all four of their employees who are in Boston and everyone is alright. But they're also worried about friends and customers at the marathon. When Eyewitness News arrived the only people in the store were those who work there. They had their television turned to the national coverage of the explosions but were trying to continue with their work at the same time.

Two people are in critical condition after an accident on the Kansas Turnpike. Five others are in serious condition. It happened in the southbound lanes of I-35, just North of the Towanda service station. Two medical helipcoters were called to transport some of the injured. Police are investigating an unattended death in southeast Wichita. Officers responded to the scene in the 600 block of S. Woodlawn around 3 p.m. Saturday. A neighbor called police, concerned about the man's welfare. The 64-year-old man was pronounced dead inside his apartment. Police did find blood near his body, but it is unknown how the man died. Investigators said the man may have been dead for at least one day. The investigation is ungoing, no arrests have been made. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.

An investigation into a coroner's office employee could affect criminal cases in Sedgwick County. Depending on the circumstances, stealing from a body might be considered tampering with evidence. But to a defense attorney, lying is the bigger issue. Police are investigating an employee at the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center who may have taken property from at least one body, which could include gold teeth. The science center performs autopsies and other forensic work.

The Wichita State Shockers are in Atlanta for the Final Four. The basketball team, pep band and cheerleaders left Wednesday afternoon. They boarded buses at Koch Arena around 3:30.
