The first week of April, voters will be casting ballots for Wichita Board of Education. In preparation Wednesday, nearly a hundred high school students met with candidates. The students included members of the superintendent's Student Advisory Council and others recommended by their school's principal. Those students had the chance to ask questions directly of those wanting to serve on the board. John Castellaw, South High senior, said he liked that students were able to ask the questions.

One day after Eyewitness News aired a story about bounced checks for Taco Tico employees, some workers are getting answers. Jacob Taylor, 17, said he had not been paid in full for more than a month. "Every time we got our checks, it was for the full amount," he said. "But it was the same thing. They'd bounce, like we'd try to cash them and they'd come right back. " Taylor was told he could pick-up a cashier's check from his manager's office Thursday. Mohmood Karim, Taco Tico's owner, did not want to go on camera, but Eyewitness News talked to his attorney who is handling the company's bankruptcy.

Hours of continuous coverage, extra newscasts, dealing with cold, wind and snow. We pride ourselves here on responding to such a challenge, but afterwards we all want to take a deep breath. Thanks to the reporters and photographers who spent so much time outside in the elements. We also must thank the thousands of viewers who interacted with us on social media and sent in storm shots.
