The big screen just got bigger. You can now watch movies on IMAX in Wichita. The new theatre at 21st and Tyler is one of the largest in the world. It's six stories tall, 90 feet wide and has more than 600 seats. It opened Friday with the movie Tron. "This turned out better than I expected," said Bill Warren about the new theatre. He's thrilled with the addition to his west side theatre. The IMAX screen, equipment and construction cost about $7 million. Warren also upgraded the other theatres on site. He financed the project with the help of $16 million in industrial revenue bonds from the City of Wichita. Warren does have to pay those bonds back. "You will not see a theatre like this in New York or LA. This is really truly a world class theatre," Warren said.
