Some of the famous WWE Smackdown Superstars are heading back to Wichita this summer. The stars of the WWE will be at the Intrust Bank Arena on August 20. The show will be featuring: Randy Orton, Christian, Kane, Sheamus, Eade Barrett, Sin Cara, The Divas, and many more. Tickets are available via phone at 316-755-SEAT,  online at www.selectaseat.com, or through the INTRUST Bank Arena box office. The price of tickets range from $60 (VIP), $45, $35, $25, and $15. Tickets for the event go on sale July 9 at 10:00 a.m.

INTRUST Bank Arena is honoring veterans with a buy one, get one free ticket offer for the Wichita State/UAB game. That game is set for Friday, Novembe 25 at 7:05 at the arena. The arena says the BOGO offer is good on the $47, $32 and $17 price levels from November 11 through November 18 at 6:00 pm. The offer is ONLY good at the INTRUST Bank Arena Box Office with a valid military ID.

Professional Bull Riding is coming back to Wichita's INTRUST Bank arena. PBR's nationally-televised Built Ford Tough Series is scheduled for Friday, September 23 and Saturday, September 24. Tickets begin at $10 and will go on sale Friday, April 15. Wichita is the 25th of 28 stops on the 2011 PBR schedule. Contestants will include Skeeter Kingsolver from McLouth, Kansas who is currently ranked 14th in the world.

A Kansas boy is quickly becoming the talk of the town as the next piano man. Mason Lough, 11, made headlines when he played "Colder Weather" at the Zac Brown Band concert at Intrust Bank Arena last weekend. It's that song that's music to everyone's ears around the web. The 11-year-old has been playing piano since he was 3 years old. He started with "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" and has worked his way up to some of the classics. Mason says one of his dreams came true last weekend when the band invited him on stage in Wichita to play his favorite song "Colder Weather.

Zac Brown Band is coming back to INTRUST Bank Arena. The arena announced the show Monday morning. Zac Brown Band will perform on Saturday, April 20. Tickets go on sale March 8 at 10:00 am. Country music singer Jason Aldean is coming to INTRUST Bank Arena. The arena announced today that he will perform on Thursday, May 9. Tickets for his Night Train Tour go on sale Friday, March 1 at 10:00 am. Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett will also perform. Tickets are $28.75 or $54.75 (plus any additional fees).

INTRUST Bank Arena pulled in $703,000 in profit in 2012. The arena gave Sedgwick County Commissioners a 4th quarter report on money Wednesday morning. The arena made $527,000 in the 4th quarter of 2012. The county will receive around $253,000 of the total money for 2012. Under contract, the first $450,000 in profit goes to SMG, the next $450,000 goes to the county. The previous year, the county didn't get any money from the arena because its profits were far less than $450,000.

Wichita's old historic downtown train station has a new owner with a big vision. "Everybody knows where Union Station is," developer Chad Stafford says.  "Everybody likes the uniqueness of this project and the uniqueness of the location--centrally located in the urban core. " Developer Chad Stafford says his company, Occidental Management, will convert the four-building complex into offices, retail stores and restaurants.  Stafford says the project will also preserve the historic integrity of the property which sits right between Old Town and Intrust Bank Arena.

Rascal Flatts canceled its concert this weekend at INTRUST Bank Arena because of illness.  The band says it will reschedule concerts in Wichita and Tulsa. The concert in Wichita will now take place on Friday August 9th.  The Band Perry will also perform at the rescheduled show.  All original tickets for the show will be honored on the new dates. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled concert, refunds are available at the point of purchase.

Wichita renames a street in honor of the Wichita State Shockers.  The temporary change of Waterman to Shocker Way happened Friday.  The mayor and WU Shock were on hand for the change in honor of the Shockers men's basketball game at INTRUST Bank Arena. Click here for photos of Shocker Way The Shockers will play at the arena Saturday against the University of Southern Mississippi.  This will be the first game between these two teams.  The Shocker's have played at the arena twice before, in games against the University of Tulsa and the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Wichita (16-7-2) thrilled the home crowd on Teddy Bear Toss Night, pulling away late from the Tulsa Oilers (8-12-2) with a 5-2 victory on Saturday night at INTRUST Bank Arena. Four different players found the back of the net for Wichita while Kevin Regan earned his 11th win of the season. Wichita leads the season-series 3-1-0 with a Sunday afternoon meeting tomorrow against Fort Worth to finish off a three-in-three for the second-straight weekend. Tulsa's Gary Steffes gave the Oilers the early lead with a goal at 10:11 of the first period.

Wichita State, INTRUST Bank Arena & Wichita were dealt a blow Monday when the NCAA announced sites for the 2014 & 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournaments. "I'm not sure you really expect to get it the first time," said basketball fan Lowell Richardson.  "I heard that on the television this morning and i'm a little disappointed, but I think it's one of those things you keep trying. " This is the second time since INTRUST Bank Arena opened that Wichita has missed out on second and third round games.
