When his ticket came in the mail, it had a face value of $47. But "Jim" paid $111 for it, plus another $37 in fees and delivery charges. That's what happens when someone gets duped into buying tickets from the wrong website. More than 492,000 people walked through the doors of INTRUST Bank Arena during its first year of operation.  That's a lot of potential "Jims", if people are being smart about the way they buy. "It's always a concern for us, but there's not a lot that we can do about it with the web the way it is," said A.J. Boleksi, General Manager of INTRUST Bank Arena.

The second round of the women's NCAA basketball tournament is over, and so is Wichita's chance to make a good impression with the NCAA. The line formed more than an hour before tip-off.  "We're just glad to be here," said Hope Vande Ven as she stood outside the Intrust Bank Arena.  "Its so exciting!" But the excitement was building long before then.  "Getting closer to the arena," she said, "we started seeing signs for the March Madness. " In all, 4,242 people watched Tuesday night's second-round game.  Some of the people, mainly those in green like Vande Ven, came to support their team.  Others, like Kathy Smith, came to support the sport.

The Intrust Bank Arena opened its doors one year ago.  Since then, it's made money, attracted major acts and sold thousands of tickets.    It's been a whirlwind since Brad Paisley played the first arena concert on a cold January night.  Since then, there have been dinosaurs, two of the best piano players and acrobatic theatrics.  Through October the arena has had 82 performances, close to 400,000 visitors and profited $1.8 million.  The numbers for all of 2010 won't be available until February.
