The Oklahoma City Thunder will play a preseason game at Wichita's INTRUST Bank Arena. The Thunder will face the Dallas Mavericks on October 24. Tickets will start at $12 and go on sale at Select-A-Seat outlets on May 23. The Thunder were scheduled to play an exhibition game in Wichita against New Orleans last October. The game was cancelled due to the NBA lockout.

Wichita was unable to sustain the momentum from scoring first and lost Game Two of the CHL Finals to Fort Wayne, 6-3, on Sunday afternoon at INTRUST Bank Arena. Chris Auger scored twice for the third game in a row and the Thunder find themselves in a 2-0 hole as the series will shift to Fort Wayne on Thursday night. The Thunder scored first for just the third game this post-season with a goal from Kevin Seibel at 9:40 of the first period. After Chris Chappell carried the puck around the Komets zone, his pass to Aaron Davis ended up on the side of Boucher.

Chris Auger scored the game-winning goal at 8:04 of the third period to give the Fort Wayne Komets a 5-3 win over Wichita in Game One of the Central Hockey League Finals Saturday night at INTRUST Bank Arena. Thomas Beauregard scored twice for Wichita and Alex Bourret added a pair of helpers in the losing effort. Fort Wayne grabs a 1-0 lead in the President's Cup Finals with Game Two taking place tomorrow afternoon. The 2012 Ray Miron President's Cup Finals Schedule was announced this afternoon as the Berry Conference Champion Wichita Thunder will take on the Turner Conference Champion Fort Wayne Komets in a best-of-seven series beginning Saturday night at INTRUST Bank Arena. Wichita finished the regular season with a 44-19-3 record (91 points), earning home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs. With the most points in the regular season, Wichita claimed the Bud Poile Governors Cup and was the number one seed overall.

It took Chris Chappell just two minutes in the first overtime period to light the lamp and win the game for the Wichita Thunder. Chappell's goal at 18:01 gave the Thunder a 2-1 win over the Texas Brahmas and gave Wichita a 3-2 series lead in the conference finals. Wichita opened the scoring in the game with Daniel Tetrault's power play goal in the first period. It was scoreless until the final 6 minutes of the game when Texas' Brett Findlay snuck one past Adam Russo on the Brahmas' power play to tie the game at 1 and eventually send it into overtime.

Wichita erupted for seven goals in the second period and blew by the Texas Brahmas with an 8-1 win Sunday afternoon at INTRUST Bank Arena. The Thunder takes a 2-0 lead in the Berry Conference Finals as the series will shift to North Richland Hill, TX on Wednesday night. Adam Hogg got things started at 2:47 of the first period to give Texas a 1-0 lead. Wichita has yet to score the first goal of the game in the playoffs, but the Thunder responded just past the midway point of the opening frame.

Behind a two-goal performance from Chris Chappell and outstanding play from Adam Russo, Wichita took Game one of the Berry Conference Finals with a 3-1 win over the Texas Brahmas Friday night at INTRUST Bank Arena. RG Flath added his third goal in two games as the Thunder closed out the contest scoring three unanswered. Texas continued the Thunder's recent trend by scoring the first goal of the game at 6:06 of the first period. Chad Woollard was able to come into the zone and found Sy Nutkevitch who made it 1-0 for the Brahmas.

Wichita (44-18-3) closed out its regular season home schedule Saturday night, losing 3-1 to the Evansville IceMen (40-21-4) at INTRUST Bank Arena. Evansville won both games in Wichita and tied the season-series at three games a piece. Matt Robinson (34) scored the lone-goal in the first period. Chris Chappell got to a loose puck on a dump-in and found Robinson on the near post to make it 1-0 at 9:16. In the second period, the IceMen scored twice to take its first lead of the game.
