Eyewitness News has confirmed another inmate has come forward claiming he was sexually assaulted by a Sedgwick County Jail deputy. Attorney Mark Schoenhofer says the victim, who is in his 20's, claims he was raped by the deputy.  Schoenhofer says his investigation has turned up evidence to prove the claim.  He says it's the same deputy who's accused of raping another inmate earlier this month. "Our investigation has produced numerous witnesses who have either been solicited by the same deputy for sex or they are in a position to learn about what happened," says Schoenhofer.

Home appliances cause an estimated 150,000 fires a year, resulting in 150 deaths and more than $500 million in property damage. A new Consumer Reports investigation has turned up disturbing findings. Although many of those fires are due to human error, a troubling number are caused by defective appliances. Consumer Reports reviewed 69,000 reports of house fires blamed on appliances between 2002 and 2009. Its investigation found at least 23 percent of the fires were clearly attributable to problems with the appliances - mechanical, electrical, or design flaws.

Silver Alerts differ from Amber Alerts that are issued when a child is missing. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is the only agency that can issue an Amber Alert.  Local law enforcement issue Silver Alerts. Silver Alerts are issued when someone with dementia disappears or when someone over 65 disappears who has medical or mental issues that could diminish their ability to survive. Kansas has had the Silver Alert program since 2009.  17 Silver Alerts have been issued since it's been in place.  Two, including Mr. Fairchild, are still missing.  14 of the Silver Alerts have ended with the individual being found alive.  One person was found dead.
