Royce White hit the game-winning jumper with 1.8 seconds left as Iowa State rallied from a 14-point deficit to beat Kansas State 72-70 on Tuesday night. White finished with 22 points and Chris Allen had 15 for the Cyclones (16-6, 6-3 Big 12), who've won four of their last five. Iowa State's Chris Babb tied the game at 70 with a free throw with 49 seconds left. The Cyclones then corralled a loose ball to gain possession with the shot clock off, and White drove to the baseline and floated in the deciding bucket from about 8 feet.

Royce White has been so bad from the free throw line lately that his struggles have literally turned into nightmares. A few hours after waking up from a dream in which he couldn't hit anything from the line, White sank the two biggest freebies of his career to give Iowa State a landmark win for coach Fred Hoiberg. White had 18 points and nine rebounds as the Cyclones upset fifth-ranked Kansas 72-64 on Saturday, snapping the Jayhawks' winning streak at 10 games. White, the versatile big man who entered shooting an abysmal 39 percent from the line in Big 12 games, hit a pair that rattled in to put Iowa State up 64-59 with 1:47 left.

Bill Self tried to temper expectations surrounding fifth-ranked Kansas as the season began, pointing out all the big-name players lost to graduation and the NBA. He didn't fool his fellow Big 12 coaches. They picked the Jayhawks as co-favorites again. After rolling through their first seven conference games without a miscue, Kansas is in a familiar position. Missouri's upset loss to Oklahoma State earlier this week created a two-game cushion in the standings heading into the Jayhawks' game Saturday at Iowa State.

Tyshawn Taylor scored 22 of his 29 points in the second half as the Kansas Jayhawks rallied from 12 points down to beat Iowa State 82 to 73 at home on Saturday. The Jayhawks were in an early ten-point hole as the Cyclones came out hot from three-point range.  Down 3 at the half it seemed like Iowa State had the game in hand until Taylor took over.  Taylor scored 7 straight points to get Kansas back within 6 after being down by 12.  Taylor hit a three-pointer to tie the game at 59 with 11 minutes to play.  Kansas took the lead moments later when Kevin Young hit a jump-shot.  Iowa State got back within one but the Jayhawks would never trail after that point and would go on to win their 4th conference game to remain undefeated in the Big 12.  Baylor is the only other undefeated team in the Big 12 conference and the Bears will visit Allen Fieldhouse this coming Monday to face the Jayhawks.

For the first time since 2003 the Kansas State Wildcats will finish the regular season with a 10-2 record after beating Iowa State 30-23. With Iowa State driving and about a minute left on the clock the Wildcats' defense forced a fumble and recovered it to seal the win. John Hubert's touchdown run with about 4 minutes remaining in the game turned out to be the game-winner. Hubert finished with 120 rushing yards while Collin Klein threw for a touchdown and rushed for another.

An uprising in the Big 12 has lowered the stakes of the year-ending Bedlam rivalry game. When No. 12 Oklahoma plays at No. 5 Oklahoma State on Dec. 3, it will be for the Big 12 championship instead of a national championship - as long as the Sooners can avoid another upset. Iowa State, which handed Oklahoma State its first loss last week, visits Norman on Saturday. Sooners coach Bob Stoops said Monday the chance for an eighth Big 12 title still provides "great motivation. " Oklahoma State will be trying for its first title.

Zach Guyer kicked a 42-yard field goal with 4:30 left to give Iowa State the lead, and backup running back Jeff Woody helped the Cyclones run out the clock in a 13-10 victory over Kansas on Saturday. Iowa State looked nothing like the team that rolled over Texas Tech 41-7 a week before and struggled to finish drives against the Big 12's worst defense. But freshman quarterback Jared Barnett finally got the Cyclones (5-4, 2-4 Big 12) close enough for Guyer to kick his game-winner, leading a march from his own 13 to the Kansas 24. With the wind at his back, Guyer's kick sailed through the uprights, his second field goal of the day. Kansas (2-7, 0-5)

Iowa State went on the road last week as a double-digit underdog that hadn't won a Big 12 game - and won by 34 points. Kansas hits the road this week as a double-digit underdog that hasn't won a Big 12 game. On Saturday, the Jayhawks (2-6, 0-5 Big 12) face Iowa State, the one team that knows how dangerous a supposedly weaker team can be in this league. Iowa State (4-4, 1-4) stunned the Big 12 by throttling Texas Tech 41-7 in Lubbock last week. The Cyclones insist they're on guard against letting Kansas (2-6, 0-5)

Kansas State (21-9, 9-6) extends its winning streak to 5 games, beating Texas (24-6, 12-3) 75 to 70.  Rodney McGruder was the leading scorer with 22 points while an injured Jacob Pullen finished with 20.  16 of Pullen's 20 points came in the second half. Pullen was driving for a layup with 6 minutes to go in the game and came down hard on his right hand.  He left the game only for a few moments, writhing in pain on the bench, but came back in to help lead his team to the win.  The Wildcats have now beaten three ranked teams in two weeks and the ‘Cats have now beaten Texas three straight times in the regular season.
