They're hard to miss - cable barriers separating the east and westbound lanes on a portion of K-96. The barriers were installed late last summer as one of the first projects of its kind in Kansas. "Somehow you have to pick a starting and a stopping point and it was very logical along K-96 to start a I-135 and go out to Rock Road because the traffic numbers are so much higher in that area and drop off past Rock Road," explains Tom Hein, Spokesman for KDOT. But following an accident, east of Rock Road Tuesday morning, Eyewitness News wanted to know if there are any plans to extend the cable barriers.
