Icy roads lead to a deadly crash in north central Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Henry McWilliams was driving on U.S. Highway 81 in Ottawa County around 5:20 this morning. McWilliams was about five miles south of Minneapolis when he lost control on an icy bridge. McWilliams' pick-up went into a ditch and rolled. McWilliams died at the scene. He was from Rockwell, Texas. Investigators say he was not wearing a seat belt.

A Missouri man dies in a crash Wednesday in Greenwood County. The accident happened on U.S. 400 about 10 miles west of Fredonia just after 2:00. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 43-year-old David Koster was driving east on U.S. 400 when he crossed the center line and struck an on-coming semi. Koster died at the scene. The KHP says he was from Marshfield, Missouri. A passenger in the semi was treated for a possible injury.

A motorcycle rider from Oklahoma dies in an crash early Thursday in southwest Kansas. Around 1:30 a.m. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 38-year-old J. Chad Cheyenne McIntire was riding on U.S. 83 at the northeast edge of Liberal. Investigators say McIntire went off the right side of the highway and lost control. He was thrown from the bike. McIntire died at the scene. Investigators say he was not wearing a helmet. No one else was involved in the crash. McIntire was from Turpin, Oklahoma.

A man from Omaha, Nebraska, dies in a crash in Phillips County Thursday. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 36 about two miles west of Prairie View at around 11:45 in the morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 53-year-old Michael Lampe was driving east on the highway, when his van left the road, went into a ditch, then through a fence and hit a tree. Lampe was taken to a Phillips County hospital where he died. The KHP says he was not wearing a seat belt.

An ATV crash kills a 19-year-old in Harper. Kansas Highway Patrol reports that Cole A. Augustyn was being pursued by Harper police south bound on northeast 10th Avenue. Augustyn entered a field and then went into a ditch. He was ejected off Polaris ATV and landed face down. He was not wearing a helmet. The accident occurred around 1:00 this morning. He was flown to St. Francis in Wichita where he died shortly before noon.

A 59-year-old Smith County man is dead after a crash late Wednesday.  According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, David Beckham of Gaylord, Kansas was headed west on 240th Road when he lost control on a curve near U-281 at around 7:00 pm. KHP says Beckham's Silverado went into a ditch and struck an embankment before coming to rest in a field. He was killed in the crash.  KHP says he was not wearing a seatbelt. A Union Pacific employee dies in a railroad accident near Abilene in Dickinson County. It happened around 4pm on Sunday. An official with Union Pacific says he was going westbound on Jeep road, inspecting the tracks when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle going southbound. The victim was in a high rail vehicle truck which is a pickup with railroad  wheels. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to a local hospital. The accident is still under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol and Union Pacific.

A Hesston woman is dead after being hit by a car in Harvey County late Friday night. The accident occurred near the intersection of Adams and Burmac in Burrton, Kan. Kathleen S. Poulter, 35, was walking southbound on McPherson Road at the right edge of the roadway. A vehicle driven by 22-year-old Brian D. Campbell of Burrton was traveling southbound on McPherson Road and struck Poulter from behind. Poulter was pronounced dead while enroute to Newton Medical Center. The fatality is being investigated by the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Harvey County Sheriff's Office.

An Ellis man is dead after being struck by a semi while crossing the road in McPherson County Wednesday night. It happened just after ten o'clock on I-135 south of Lindsborg. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the semi was headed north when it struck 32-year-old Wesley Kraft, who was standing in middle of the road. The driver of the truck is from New Mexico. He was not hurt.
