The Kansas State Wildcats are a No. 5 seed in the Southeast Regional of the NCAA Tournament. Frank Martin's team will face No. 12 Utah State in Tucson on TruTV in the late Thursday night game on March 17 . Gametime will be announced later. The winner plays either No. 4 Wisconsin or No. 13 Belmont. Pittsburgh is the top seed in Kansas State's bracket.

12th ranked Kansas State will face 3rd ranked Oklahoma at 2:30 pm in a nationally televised broadcast on ESPN. That game will be played on Saturday October 29th. The Wildcats debuted at #11 in the first Bowl Championship Series polls released on Sunday night. Kansas State is 6-0 for the first time since the 2000 season. This upcoming weekend the 'Cats will head to Lawrence for the Sunflower Showdown. Their game against Kansas is set for 11 am this Saturday. Will Spradling connected on four free-throws in the final 24 seconds to seal Kansas State's 66-63 win over Delaware on Wednesday night. Spradling was one of three Wildcats with a team-high 12 points on the night. Thomas Gibson and Angel Rodriguez were the other two 12-point scorers. Kansas State was onlye up by 2 at halftime but the Wildcats built up a double-digit lead mid-way through the second half. With 5 minutes left to play the Fightin' Blue Hens' Devon Saddler was on fire. In that final 5 minutes Saddler scored 12 of the Hens' final 14 points.

Kansas State will open its 2011-12 season this Friday night at home against Charleston Southern. The Wildcats won their exhibition matchup against Fort Hays State 90-60 this past Sunday. Frank Martin's team had 5 players in double-figures scoring with freshamn Angel Rodriguez leading the way with 15 points. Rodriguez was a perfect 3-3 from the three point line while Will Spradling was 2-5 from beyond the arc. The Buccaneers and Wildcats tip off at 7:10 pm this Friday night at Bramlage Coliseum.

Kansas State scores 10 points in the fourth quarter to come back and beat Eastern Kentucky 10-7 Saturday night. The Wildcats took the lead after quarterback Collin Klein hooked up with former Wichita Northwest star Chris Harper for the go-ahead touchdown with 1:39 left to go in the fourth quarter. The game tied at zero after halftime but Eastern Kentucky took the lead on a one yard touchdown run from Jared Mcclain in the third quarter. Wildcat kicker Anthony Cantele kicked a 36 yard field goal to cut the Eastern Kentuckys' lead to four with just over 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

If Kansas State can beat Oklahoma State on Saturday, it will give the Wildcats their first conference title in 36 seasons. The Wildcats moved up in the polls this weekend from 13th to 9th and will look to improve their already impressive 25-5, 14-3 record. Oklahoma State has earned a 22-7, 12-5 record this season and they hold an 8-1 record against Kansas State at home in Gallagher-Iba Arena. The last time these two teams met...

The Kansas State Wildcats (6-0, 3-0) are the 11th ranked team in the nation according to the first B.C.S. rankings announced Sunday evening. The Wildcats are 12th in the A.P. poll and 16th in the coach's poll. K-State has now made appearances in the rankings for three consecutive weeks for the first time since 2003, while the No. 12 ranking is the highest since checking in at No. 12 to open the 2004 season. Kansas State beat Texas Tech on the road on Saturday for the first time since 1997. For the first time since 2000 the 'Cats are 6-0 to start the season.

Kansas State comes up short against Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium in New York after a controversial penalty call at the end of the game. Trailing by eight with about three minutes to go, Kansas State had one more chance to take the ball down the field. Carson Coffman completed a 30 yard pass for a touchdown to Adrian Hilburn. After the touchdown Hilburn was flagged for an excessive celebration penalty, forcing them to attempt a 2-point conversion from the 18 yard line.

Junior guard Jacob Pullen will return for his senior season in 2010-11 after exploring his professional opportunities, head coach Frank Martin announced on Sunday night. Pullen had until Sunday to decide whether he would enter the 2010 NBA Draft as an underclassman. With his return in the 2010-11 season as well as those of fellow rising senior starters, Curtis Kelly and Dominique Sutton , K-State should once again challenge for the Big 12 title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
