SB I-135 to EB Kellogg is back open after a semi rollover Monday afternoon.  The area was shut down for several hours. The driver was not seriously hurt.

A mother and her new baby boy are doing well after an overnight delivery on the side of the highway.  Jeff and Ashley Kane were on their way from El Dorado to Wichita because Ashley was in labor.  But, they only made it to Kellogg & the Turnpike before baby McCale decided it was time to come out. The night's literally a nightmare. Jared and Paige Estes, the picture-perfect couple married just six months, leave a hockey game with two friends.  They're driving down Kellogg, near West Street, when a Porsche going more than a hundred miles an hour slams into them. "I don't remember getting hit or how long I was in the car," Jared says.  "I went black.  Everything kind of went black when we were driving down the street.  Then I heard a really, really loud bang, like an explosion.  I could've been in there 30 seconds or 30 minutes, I don't know.

Wichita police have identified a three-year-old child who was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Kellogg Thursday morning as Mario Enrique Zamara-Portillo.  Photos From Crash Scene Police say five kids were in the minivan with their mother driving, two of the children were properly buckled in, three of them were not.  Those three children were thrown from the vehicle. Police want to talk with the driver of a white pickup that was behind the red minivan involved in the collision.  Police say that person is just an eyewitness and they don't suspect the driver had anything to do with the crash.

A meeting set for this evening will help focus on the first phase of the I-235/Kellogg Interchange Reconstruction Project.  The meeting runs from 5-7 pm at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center at 21st and Ridge in Wichita.   The public meeting will have an open-house format with displays and maps showing the features of the project.  Highway and bridge engineers will be available to answer questions, but there will be no formal presentation. Wichita police are looking for a driver who took off after crashing into a concretewall on Kellogg, leaving an injured passenger in the SUV. The accident happened around six Saturday morning near Kellogg and Oliver. The 19-year-old passenger was rushed to Wesley Medical Center in serious condition. Anyone with information about the driver is asked to call police.

A police chase comes to an end in east Wichita, but not before reaching speeds of at least 60 miles-per-hour. The chase started around 3:30 Monday afternoon when officers responded to a report of someone with a weapon in the 2600 block of S. Vassar. The suspect led police on a chase around east Wichita for about 20 minutes. The chase finally came to an end just before four o'clock near Kellogg and Woodlawn. The suspect suffered minor injuries. Paramedics took him to a Wichita hospital.

Authorities have identified the man killed in a semi rollover on the Kansas Turnpike Wednesday afternoon. 52-year-old Abdikarim Haile of St. Cloud, Minnesota rolled his semi while exiting the Turnpike onto Kellogg.  The semi spilled soy milk on the roadway, keeping cleanup crews busy for hours. A medical condition prompted a person to drive their truck into a Wichita home.  The accident happened  near Oliver and Kellogg off of Lewis around ten Friday morning. Click here for photos from the scene Police say the driver was northbound on Oliver, near Kellogg when he started to feel light-headed.  He told police he was going to pullover and the next thing he knew he had crashed into the house. He crossed the southbound lanes of traffic, hit a fire hydrant, drove over a curb and into the house.  The homeowner was sitting on the couch when accident happened.  It knocked him off of the couch.
