Last year Jacob Pullen dropped 38 points on then top-ranked Kansas as the Wildcats upset the Jayhawks in Bramlage Coliseum; but that was last year. Coming into this year's second matchup between Kansas and Kansas State the Wildcats are once again struggling (6-6 in the Big 12) while Kansas is cruising through the conference (10-2). Kansas has won 43 of the last 46 matchups against Kansas State with coach Frank Martin having the most success against the Jayhawks; Dana Altman is the only other coach with more than one win against Kansas in the series.

When Travis Releford knocked a loose ball forward as time struck zero, Kansas head coach Bill Self punched the sky the hardest he ever has since the Jayhawks beat Missouri in the final Border War game. Clearly, beating Oklahoma State 68-67 in double overtime Wednesday night meant just as much as any of the biggest rivalry games for Kansas. The play that won the game came from a rather unlikely source. With Elijah Johnson sitting on the bench with five fouls, Naadir Tharpe backed his way into the lane and rolled to his right, dropping in a bucket for the lead and ultimately the win. "The just made a huge play right there - biggest play of his life, I'm sure," Self said.

As if having the name Kansas across the front of your jersey isn't pressure enough, there are three members of the KU basketball team whose name on the back of the jersey brings with it just as much pressure. Manning, Self and Roberts are all names Jayhawk fans know well. But Evan Manning, Tyler Self and Niko Roberts are the next generation of KU basketball. "He has always kind of been coach, but at home he's more dad then a coach," sayd Tyler Self, who plays for the Jayhawks and whose father is head coach Bill Self.

KU's 2013 Revenge Tour concludes on Saturday in Lawrence. Oklahoma State was victim number one, TCU will hopefully be victim number two. The Jayhawks will try and wipe away the shock of a February 6th loss in Fort Worth that shock the college basketball world. Game time is set for 3 p.m. Kansas (22-4, 10-3) set a Bill Self-era low for shooting percentage (.29) and halftime points (13) against TCU. The loss sent Self into a frenzy after the game, going so far to say, albeit, tongue in cheek, that, "This was the worst KU team that's been out on the court since Dr. Naismith invented the game.
