The day belonged to Kyle Busch, but the victory in the Auto Club 400 belongs to Kevin Harvick. Busch lead 151 of the 200 laps at the Auto Club speedway on Sunday, but Jimmie Johnson took the lead woth 3 laps to go, just to give up the lead on turn four of the final lap to Harvick. The 29 lead just one lap, the last one but it was all he needed. Busch finished third. "I can see them growing bigger in the mirror, I could see them coming," said Busch. Those guys were just better.

Darrell Waltrip, Dale Earnhardt, Cale Yarbrough, Rusty Wallace and now you can add Kyle Busch to the list of drivers that just have a way when it comes to getting around the Bristol Motorspeedway. Busch scored his 5th career Sprint Cup win at the 1/2 mile track on Sunday, completing the weekend sweep. He also won Saturday's Nationwide series race. Kyle also swept the weekend the last time NASCAR was in Bristol, winning the Truck, Nationwide and Cup race, making it 5 straight wins in Thunder Valley for Busch.

Thunder Valley, The Bullring, whatever you call it, time to head up on ole rocky top to Tennessee and the Bristol Motor speedway. After what I still consider one of the most worthless off weeks in all of sports (I mean you are just gaining momentum and getting people excited, why not shorten the season by a week), a short track is just what we need to get our blood pumpin' again. Sorry all you Busch haters, but when we talk about drivers who race well here, we have to start with the Busch Brothers, they have 9 wins on the cup series between then at Bristol.

Jeff Gordon avoided a crash filled Subway Fresh Fit 500, leading the most laps to pick up his 83rd career Sprint Cup victory. The win moves Gordon into a tie for 5th all-time on the Sprint Cup victory list, tied with Cale Yabrough. One more will move him into a tie with Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison for third. For his team Hendrick Motorsports its the 7th win in 9 races at Phoenix. "It feels so amazing," said Gordon.

Move over Jimmie Johnson, Carl Edwards might just be the hottest driver in the Sprint Cup Series. Edwards won the final two races of the 2010 season and was second at the Daytona 500. On Saturday his hot streak continued as he grabbed the pole for Sunday's Subway Fresh Fit 500. His second straight at the Phoenix International Raceway. Edwards lap of 137.279 mph was just enough to best fellow front row starter Kurt Busch, who laid down a lap of 137.111 mph. It's Edwards 8th career pole.

There is never a lack of excitement or emotion went it comes to Kyle Busch. But love of him or hate him, you have to admit, the kid can drive. His issue has always seemed to be a little maturity or maybe it's focus when things aren't exactly going their way. But Busch got married in the off season and the are rumours of a more grown-up Kyle in 2011. That remains to be seen. If it's true, watch out NASCAR, he could be scary good. We know he can win. the key to Busch's success is what he does when he doen't have a winning car. That's what Jimmie Johnson so good.

Joey Logano held off teammate Kyle Busch on two late restarts to win the Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway. Logano got past Busch on a restart with six laps remaining in Saturday's race, but a crash by Aric Almirola brought out a caution flag a lap later. Logano knew holding Busch off on the final restart would be difficult, but a huge push from points leader Brad Keselowski gave him the run he needed to break free of Busch. It was the second Nationwide win of the season for Logano and 16th of the season for Joe Gibbs Racing.

For sale: Prime real estate on the hood of cars driven by former Cup champions Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon. Gordon and Stewart, who have six championships between them, are NASCAR's two biggest stars looking for additional sponsorship for next season. They're chasing corporate America's dollars just as much they're driving for a title over the 10-race Chase for the Sprint Cup championship. Corporate sponsors have dried up to the point that Kyle Busch says he may have to fold his truck team next season.
