The Wichita Thunder beat the Bloomington Prairie Thunder 5-1 at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Saturday night. Wichita scored four times in the first period, while Lance Galbraith earned a Gordie Howe Hat Trick with a goal, two assists, and a fight against Bloomington's Travis Granbois late in the third period. For a second straight game, the Thunder benefitted from a big period, beginning with Daniel Tetrault's score at 7:32 in the first. Tetrault walked the puck down the right boards, cut to the net, and backhanded it over the shoulder of Bloomington goaltender Marco Emond.

The Wichita Thunder lost 2-1 to the Rapid City Rush at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Saturday night. Konrad Reeder and Jamie Carroll scored at 5:27 and 7:30 in the third period respectively to erase a 1-0 Thunder lead. Reeder tipped in a shot from the point by Gio Flaminio while Carroll scored on a slapshot along the right half boards. Lance Galbraith broke a scoreless deadlock that lasted nearly two full periods, connecting on a one-timer with 56.3 seconds left in the second period.

The Wichita Thunder beat the Fort Wayne Komets 5-1 at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Friday night. Bobby Hughes led the offense with two goals and two assists, while Daniel Tetrault scored the 100th goal of his professional career. The Thunder broke the game open with a three-goal second period. Leading 2-0, Hughes roofed a loose puck under the crossbar from between the hashmarks at 5:32. Tetrault deliverd a power play goal at 6:56 from the right side of the blue line for the milestone score.

The Wichita Thunder beat the Quad City Mallards 3-2 at the iWireless Center on Monday night. Lance Galbraith snapped a 2-2 tie with 67 seconds left in regulation to lift Wichita to victory. Galbraith took a pass from Jesse Bennefield towards the left corner and wristed a shot to the long side of the net past the left pad of Mallards' goaltender Adam Russo. The Thunder looked to have taken the lead with just over seven minutes remaining in the third when Bennefield slipped a puck past Russo from close range, but the goal was overturned and the game remained tied.

The Wichita Thunder defeated the Dayton Gems 4-3 at Hara Arena on Sunday evening. Lance Galbraith and A.J. Gale scored 12 seconds apart, turning a late one-goal deficit into a 4-3 lead. With Dayton leading 3-2, Galbraith scored to the right of Gems' goaltender Jeff Jakaitis on a rebound during a Thunder power play at 16:47. With the teams back at even strength, Gale struck at 16:59, cashing in his own rebound in front of the crease, again to Jakaitis's right side. Matt Robinson snapped a 1-1 tie 28 seconds into the third with a power play goal, but the Gems moved in front on goals from Matthew McCue at 5:21 and Mike Vaskivuo at 15:41.

The Wichita Thunder defeated the Arizona Sundogs 6-3 at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Saturday night. Matt Robinson scored two goals while Aaron Davis and Lance Galbraith each had three points. The Thunder, who has won six of their last nine games, took three of four on their homestand heading into Monday's game at Quad City. With the Thunder keading 3-2 in the third, Robinson scored his second of the night at 7:28, slipping the puck through the five-hole of Sundogs' goaltender Doug Groenestege.

The Wichita Thunder lost 6-2 to the Odessa Jackalopes at the Ector County Coliseum on Thursday night. Leading 3-2, Odessa scored three times in the third period to take control of the game. Mike Ramsay scored twice in the period, including a goal 11 seconds into the frame to give Odessa a 4-2 advantage. After Sebastien Thinel scored his second of the night at 12:07, Ramsay found the back of the net again at 13:25 for the game's final goal. The teams traded goals during a fast-paced second.

The Wichita Thunder won 3-0 over the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs at the Century Tel Center on Tuesday night. Marc-Antoine Gelinas set a new Thunder single-season record with his fourth shutout of the year. Gelinas stopped all 36 Mudbugs' shots, including a staggering 21 in the final period. Gelinas made several brilliant saves from close range throughout the game, and was helped by a number of defensive plays in a third period that saw Wichita get outshot 21-0. Aaron Davis put Wichita in front 1-0 with a shorthanded goal at the 5:14 mark in the first.

The Wichita Thunder stunned the Missouri Mavericks with a 4-3 overtime win at the Independence Events Center on Saturday Night. The Thunder tied the game with 16.3 seconds left in regulation and won with less than four seconds left in overtime to capture their fifth consecutive victory and first ever against the Mavericks. At 5-4-0, the Thunder's win percentage is over .500 for the first time since March 7th, 2007. The Thunder also has more wins than total losses mid-season for the first time since November 16th, 2006.
