The Wichita Wingnuts beat the Kansas City T-Bones 6-5 at Community America Ballpark on Friday night. Trailing 5-3 in the top of the ninth inning, Taylor Freeman cracked an opposite field, three-run home run off T-Bones' closer Jacob Wiley. Mitch Einertson drew a four-pitch walk to lead off the inning and took third base two batters later on David Peralta's single up the middle. Matt Nevarez pitched a scoreless bottom of the ninth to earn his first save of the year.

The Wichita Wingnuts lost 7-3 to the Winnipeg Goldeyes in Game Two of the American Association Championship Series at Shaw Park on Wednesday night. Wichita trails the best-of-five series 2-0. Amos Ramon cracked a two-out, three-run homer off of Ryan Hinson in the bottom of the sixth inning to give Winnipeg a 5-3 lead. Six of the Goldeyes' seven runs scored on two outs. Josh Mazzola lined a single to left leading off the bottom of the sixth and advanced to second two batters later when Michael Coles was hit by a pitch.

The Wichita Wingnuts (32-18) lost 3-2 to the Amarillo Sox (28-23) at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium on Tuesday night. Wichita mounted a late comeback that ultimately fell one run short, with Amarillo's bullpen stranding the tying run in scoring position in both the eigth and ninth innings. Trailing 3-0 in the top of the sixth, Jared McDonald reached on an error by second baseman Jake Opitz. Two batters later, Ryan Khoury tripled into the right field corner to put the Wingnuts on the board.

The Wichita Wingnuts (45-33) lost 7-1 to the Winnipeg Goldeyes (46-31) at Shaw Park on Thursday night. After the Wingnuts took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Winnipeg scored seven unanswered runs en route to the win.  In the bottom of the first, a Jon Weber fielder's choice with the bases loaded scored Price Kendall from third to tie the game at 1-1.  Luis Alen followed with a sacrifice fly to center field to bring in Chris Roberson...

The Wichita Wingnuts won 9-0 over the Sioux Falls Pheasants in a rain-shortened game at Sioux Falls Stadium on Thursday night. The loss snapped the Wingnuts four-game losing streak and was the team's second shutout of the season. Wichita jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning against Pheasants' starter Ben Moore.  Josh Horn reached first to open the game when Brandon Sing made an errant throw to Moore covering the first base bag.  After Moore struck out Jorge Cortes, Ryan Patterson walked to put runners on first and second.  Juan Richardson, behind 0-2 in the count, tripled to the fence in right-center to score Horn and Patterson and give Wichita a 2-0 lead.  Richardson came in to score on Jorge Delgado's RBI groundout to shortstop.

The Wichita Wingnuts posted their third consecutive shutout, and fourth in the last five games, beating the Grand Prairie AirHogs 5-0 at QuikTrip Park on Friday night. Ryan Hinson continued the Wingnuts' recent trend of outstanding starting pitching, limiting the AirHogs to just four hits over seven full innings. Hinson walked three and struck out six while earning his seventh win of the season. It is the first time the Wingnuts have ever pitched three consecutive shutouts.

The Wichita Wingnuts won 5-0 over the Kansas City T-Bones at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Friday night. Nick Singleton improved to 6-0 with eight shutout innings. Singleton retired the leadoff hitter in every inning that he worked, and retired the first two hitters in seven of them. Singleton allowed just four hits, three walks, and struck out six. The T-Bones had multiple runners on base just once in the game, and had only two runners reach second. T-Bones' left-hander Devin Anderson escaped trouble over the first three innings, but the Wingnuts finally broke through in the fourth and went on to score a single run in each of their final five team at bats.

The Wichita Wingnuts beat the Shreveport-Bossier Captains 8-4 at Fair Grounds Field on Monday night. Wichita overcame a 3-2 deficit with three runs in the top of the seventh inning. Mike Conroy drew a one-out walk and stole second base. Josh Horn singled up the middle to score Conroy with the tying run After Brent Clevlen walked, Juan Richardson crushed a double to deep left field that drove in two more runs to give Wichita a 5-3 lead. Shreveport-Bossier scratched out a run in the bottom of the seventh on Bryan Sabatella's two-out, RBI single off of Jared Simon.

The Wichita Wingnuts defeated the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 8-1 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in the inaugural meeting between the clubs on Monday night. Junior Guerra turned in another terrific outing, allowing one unearned run on two hits in seven full innings to earn the win. Guerra walked four and struck out four, and is now 5-0 in his last six starts. Brent Clevlen gave Guerra early support, lining a two-run home run over the left-center field fence in the bottom of the first.

The Wichita Wingnuts overtook the wild card lead on Wednesday night, defeating the Kansas City T-Bones 6-5 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
