The Wichita Thunder defeated the Missouri Mavericks 6-4 at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Friday night. Aaron Davis scored two goals, while the Thunder survived a late rally by the Mavs to hang on for the victory. Trailing 1-0, the Thunder powered their way in front with a five-goal second period. Bobby Hughes started the attack, firing a wrist shot past the right of Mavericks' goaltender Rob Nolan. A.J. Gale ripped a one-timer from the right circle at 9:24 to make it 2-1. Gale was setup by Chris Greene who carried the puck up the slot before making the pass.

The Wichita Thunder lost 7-4 to the Rapid City Rush at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center on Friday night. Rush forward Les Reaney scored a hat trick, contributing to a run of four unanswered goals over the final two periods that allowed Rapid City to seize control of the game. Down 2-1 in the second, Matt Robinson tied the game with his second goal of the night at 10:08 in the second. A.J. Gale forced a turnover at the blue line, allowing Robinson to cut into the Rapid City defense and connect from the high slot.

The Wichita Thunder lost 2-0 to the Missouri Mavericks at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Monday night. Mavericks' goaltender Rob Nolan worked a 31-save shutout, including 12 in the final period to earn the win. Missouri broke a scoreless tie 1:09 into the second period. Mike Berry stayed with a rebound to the right of Marc-Antoine Gelinas and scored just outside of the crease. Bill Vandermeer connected from the high slot at 11:16 to make it 2-0. Marc-Antoine Gelinas saved 19 of 21 in the loss.

The Wichita Thunder defeated the Missouri Mavericks 7-4 at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Sunday evening. Trailing 3-1 heading into the third period, the Thunder erupted for six goals in the final frame to pull out the win. Jesse Bennefield finished the night with two goals and three points, including the Thunder's first penalty shot goal of the season. Andrew Martens pulled Wichita within 3-2 just 65 seconds into the third, taking a pass off the boards from Bennefield and then shooting the puck over the right shoulder of Mavericks' goaltender Rob Nolan.

The Wichita Thunder won their sixth consecutive game with a 3-2 win over the Missouri Mavericks at the INTRUST Bank Arena on Friday night. Aaron Davis snapped a 2-2 tie with 1:41 left in regulation to provide the decisive goal. Jesse Bennefield lofted a high shot off the glass that created a rebound to the left of Mavericks' goaltender Gerry Festa. Davis took the rebound and backhanded it past Festa's right skate. A.J. Gale gave Wichita its first lead of the night just 27 seconds into the second frame.

The Wichita Thunder signed goaltender Peter Delmas to a five-game contract on Tuesday. Delmas (pronounced DELL-mah) appeared in two AHL games this season with the Hamilton Bulldogs, saving 56 of a combined 60 shots (.933). On October 29th, the Bedford, Nova Scotia native earned his first professional victory, saving 32 of 33 versus Toronto. Delmas also appeared in two games at the Major Junior level this season for the QMJHL's Halifax Mooseheads. Delmas is a former second round pick of the Colorado Avalanche in 2008.

The Wichita Thunder has acquired left wing Matt Robinson from the Laredo Bucks in exchange for future considerations. Robinson appeared in eight games this season for the Bucks, scoring one goal and five asssits. The fifth-year professional ranked 13th in the ECHL last year with 31 goals, while totaling 64 points in 63 games between Stockton and Johnstown. The South Surrey, British Columbia native has 75 goals and 150 points in 202 career professional games with a +29 rating. Robinson spent the first four years of his career at the ECHL level, beginning with a 21-goal campaign as a rookie for the Alaska Aces in 2006-07.

The Wichita Thunder stunned the Missouri Mavericks with a 4-3 overtime win at the Independence Events Center on Saturday Night. The Thunder tied the game with 16.3 seconds left in regulation and won with less than four seconds left in overtime to capture their fifth consecutive victory and first ever against the Mavericks. At 5-4-0, the Thunder's win percentage is over .500 for the first time since March 7th, 2007. The Thunder also has more wins than total losses mid-season for the first time since November 16th, 2006.
