A motorcycle rider suffered critical injuries after his bike collided with a deer in Reno County. The accident occurred near 95th and Salt Marsh around 3:40 a.m. Saturday. The Reno County Sheriff's office reports Bradley Poe, of Larned, was riding his bike in the area, when he struck a deer. The accident caused the man's bike to slide into the ditch. Stafford County authorities found the accident about 10 minutes later. Poe was taken to a nearby hospital, then transported to Wichita for treatment.

A man is recovering from a motorcycle crash near downtown Wichita. It happened on I-135 near Kellogg around 8:45 a.m. Saturday. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Johnnie Cawthorn III, 65, was taking the westbound entrance ramp, when his bike left the side of the ramp and hit a guardrail. Cawthorn was thrown from his bike and suffered a severe arm injury in the accident. He was taken to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. Troopers said he was wearing a helmet.

One man is critically hurt after a motorcycle accident near Assaria. Authorities say the driver lost control of his bike on I-135, sliding across on-coming traffic and into the opposite median. He was flown to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. The Kansas Highway Patrol is still investigating the cause of the accident.

A Wichita man remains hospitalized after a motorcycle accident outside of Salina. It happened in the southbound lanes of I-135 near the 82nd exit around 6 p.m. Troopers on the scene said Mark Follin, 47, moved into the left lane to pass, when he went off the roadway and crashed in the median. He was flown to Wichita in critical condition. Authorities said he was wearing a helmet. A hospital spokeswoman said Follin is listed in serious condition. The man was riding with another motorcycle rider, but no other injuries were reported.

A motorcycle rider dies when he loses control on a road east of Minneapolis, Kansas. The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened just after 6:30 Sunday evening on 13th Road, south of K-106 in Ottawa County. That location is east of Minneapolis. Investigators say 57-year-old Lloyd Carriker was northbound on 135th, when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the road. Carriker's motorcycle collided with an embankment and a tree row. Carriker died at the scene.

An accident involving three motorcycles on the Kansas Turnpike has claimed the life of a man from Lawrence. Troopers were called to the scene just outside of Topeka at milepost 178 around 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Investigators said a 59-year-old man was riding his motorcycle, when he lost control and crashed. The second bike braked to avoid the accident and also crashed. A third motorcycle also went into the ditch while trying to avoid the scene. The man on the first bike died at the scene.

A man is hurt after crashing his motorcycle at 31st South and Broadway overnight. Passersby found the man in the road at around 2:00 Friday morning. Wichita police say the rider may have been going to fast and lost control when he turned too wide on 31st Street. The rider slide off the bike and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He's expected to be okay. 31st S. & Broadway was closed for around two hours while crews cleaned up the crash scene. Traffic is back to normal now.

A deadly motorcycle accident at Kellogg and I-35 Wednesday is still under investigation. Wichita police say 34-year-old Derick L. Bumphus of Wichita died in the crash. They say witnesses reported he was traveling at a high rate of speed and was switching lanes. They say when the accident happened, he became airborne and hit a roadway sign. He died at the scene. "The motorcycle then went out of control, struck a sign at the Turnpike entrance, and then careened into a culvert," Wichita police Captain Hassan Ramzah told our news partners at KFDI radio.

Three people are hurt after this motorcycle accident at Kellogg and Hillside. Police say a car was turning onto kellogg just after 1:30 Sunday morning when it crashed into the motorcycle. The rider and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. Paramedics took the passenger to the hospital with critical injuries, while the rider has serious. The driver of the car had minor injuries. Police are still investigating the crash.
