Technology can sing sometimes. That's what a group of teenagers are discovering in a class at Valley Center High School. They're playing a plethora of different instruments in Mike McCormick's music class. "The idea is to create and perform digital music," he explains. "We have forty different keyboards, we have eight different guitars, we have two or three different kinds of bluegrass guitars, five different drum kits. " All of those instruments are being performed on the Garage Band app on iPads.

Bag it up Wichita. That's the message behind a catchy music video and PSA from city environmental officials. The play on the 1990s hip-hop hit "No Diggity" is designed to encourage dog owners to pick up their pet's waste to promote overall health in the community. Watch the "Dog Doogity" Video Officials say Wichita pets create 50,000 pounds of waste per day.  Much of the doody eventually finds its way to the Arkansas River, threatening the long term health of the river and its Eco-system.  It can also create a human health hazard by spreading bacteria and diseases.

We're turning-up the music with this week's Does It Work product. It's called the Rock-It 3.0.  Our tester, attorney Norman Douglas, had some questions about the device. "It was a wild claim. You stick it to anything and it amplifies the sound of your iPod, iPhone, or other music device,” Norman said. We got it for $43.67. That includes shipping and handling. After charging the built-in battery we gave the instructions and the Rock-It to Norman. He connected one side of the Rock-It to his iPhone.

We've all had them. That annoying neighbor who lets their dog bark at all hours or maybe that guy who decides to mow his lawn at 6 a.m. every Saturday morning when you're trying to sleep in. We get it. These are not earth-shattering issues or big crimes but rather little neighborhood nuisances that can affect your quality of life. Here are some of the most common neighborhood nuisances.  These ordinances are in Wichita, but most of these are against city code in some form or fashion for residents of other cities and towns across Kansas.  Check with your local police or city hall for more information.
