Wichita Police found nothing suspicious after a package was left at the Kansas Aviation Museum. The call was reported just before 4 p.m. Wednesday. Dispatchers said someone dropped a package at the museum, 3350 S. George Washington Blvd., and left. Lon Smith, director, said someone left the package at the museum because it was stolen. He said he drove the package out past the museum gate and called 911. Officers shut down 31st and George Washington while authorities investigated. The museum was also placed on temporary lock down.

If you hoped to hitch a ride to Atlanta with the WSU Alumni Association charter, those packages are sold out. At least for now. A website to sign up for travel packages went live right after the team won Saturday night. By 4pm Sunday, the alumni association had filled up three planes. That's more than 500 shocker fans going to Atlanta. Now Alumni President Debbie Kennedy is trying to find more space to help fans get to the game. "We are putting people on a wait list right now and if we can find a fourth plane and find additional hotel space, we will do that," Kennedy said The travel package includes airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the games in Atlanta.

Two thousand people are set to gather at the Kansas Pavilions with hopes of setting a Guinness World Record for the most hunger relief meals packaged in an hour. The Serving the Hungry at Home and in Haiti event was set up through Numana, Volunteer Kansas and the Downtown Rotary Club of Wichita. Guinness World Record officials will be on hand as an expected 350,000 meals are packaged in just one hour. The event runs from 10 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Pavilion II. The meals that are packaged will provide a hot lunch for 800 school children and their families in Lambert and Borde, Haiti.

As the Kansas State Wildcats had to the Fiesta Bowl, you might want to go along with them. Triple-A of Kansas is offering special Fiesta Bowl packages. You can choose a flight package out of Wichita or Manhattan...or a land package if you want to drive. Either way, you can enjoy the first few days of the new year in the Phoenix area, and watch the wildcats take on Oregon. Brooke Herren of AAA tells us "The whole trip includes the accommodations, it includes transportation to like the pre-game parties the tailgate party and tickets to the game as well.

Winfield police say they got a tip that a man staying in town with a friend was expecting a delivery of drugs. It was meth and it was coming via UPS. Police went to UPS with a drug sniffing dog and found the package. Winfield's police chief says it was elaborately wrapped, a large package with smaller packages inside. They were wrapped in cellophane, foil and balloons. Police say they found $2,000 to $3,000 worth of meth inside. Officers wrapped the package back up.

It may be the smallest track in length, but that is about the only thing small about Bristol Motor Speedway. “In 1984, I was a Sprint Cup crew chief for driver Joe Ruttman. We raced there when there was just very minimal grandstands on the front and the back and it was all grass -- it was incredible," sais Kenny Wallace. "It was a race track back then. Now it's a coliseum. Never in a million years could we have thought that when Bruton Smith bought it that he would do what he's done with it. If you were to look at pictures of Bristol when I was there in '84, you wouldn't even recognize it. They've done so much with it and it's a very unique race track. I love that place.” And a lot of the drivers and fans agree with Wallace.

Authorities evacuate the U.S Navy and Marine Corp building in Wichita because of a suspicious package. The building is at 3026 S. George Washington Boulevard. Wichita police say employees found two FedEx return packages in the building with the name of an employee. But that employee says he never sent those packages and doesn't know why his name is on them. McConnell Air Force Base is also involved in the investigation.

Wichita State University announced Tuesday that season ticket holders will have to purchase tickets to the men's basketball game at the INTRUST Bank Arena. Last year, the tickets were included in the package but this year, season ticket holders will have the first chance to buy the INTRUST tickets starting on September 13 at ten o'clock in the morning. The Shockers will be playing the University of Alabama Birmingham Blazers on November 25. Prices for the event are as follows: • $152.

Main negotiations kick off Monday between Spirit Aerosystems and engineering union SPEEA in Wichita. The current contract between the aviation company and about 2,300 employees expires July 11th. Monday the two sides held an event marking the start of main-table negotiations. Up until now, subcommittees have been focusing on parts of a possible contract. Those issues will be worked into a full package as both sides seek to come to a deal. "It's a complete package. It's not money, benefits, it's not compensation, pay practices, it's all apackage so we've got to get all that together and take a look, you can't single anything out. " said Bob Brewer, SPEEA Midwest Director.

The phones rang all day and now Sunflower Travel agency is sold out of New York City packages for Wichita State fans. The W.S.U. Shockers will play in the semifinals of the N.I.T. at Madison Square Garden Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. Devin Hansen with Sunflower Travel tells Eyewitness News about 85 people are going to New York through the agency, which sold about 40 packages. The packages include round trip airfare, hotel arrangements and transportation to and from the airport and hotel.
