The child was hit by near 31st South and Victoria by a motorcycle. Wichita police say a group of children were crossing the street when a seven-year-old was clipped by the bike. Paramedics took the child to the hospital with injuries to her head and chest. Expect updates here on KWCH.com and on Eyewitness Newscasts.

A driver is in critical condition after an injury accident Tuesday morning. The crash was about 7:00 at Central and St. Paul. Location of accident Sedgwick County Dispatchers tell Eyewitness News two cars were involved and one car hit a club. Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital. Expect more updates on air and online as soon as we get it.

A motorcycle rider is in serious condition after a crash with a car Tuesday morning. The crash was just after 5 o'clock in the intersection of Pawnee and Webb. Map of crash Paramedics took the rider to the hospital for treatment. No one else was hurt. The intersection is back open after it was closed for about an h our.

A 14 year-old student was hit by a vehicle at Northwest High School Tuesday afternoon according to Wichita police. Paramedics took the girl to the hospital in serious condition. Her mother contacted Eyewitness News later Tuesday evening to say her daughter was lucky. We're told she's "very sore and has a few bruises but no broken bones. "

A teenager is hurt after he's hit by a Wichita Transit vehicle while riding his bike. The accident happened around 3:30 Thursday afternoon at Murdock & Grove.' Paramedics took the teenager to a Wichita hospital in serious condition. Police say he was not wearing a helmet. A second person suffered minor injuries and did not go to the hospital.

No one was seriously hurt when a vehicle crashed into a building at the corner of 13th and St. Francis on Monday. Paramedics took the driver to a Wichita hospital in good condition. A second person refused treatment. Investigators say it appears the vehicle had some type of brake problem as the driver approached the intersection.

Sedgwick County dispatchers say a man is in critical condition after he was shot in the head during a home invasion. It happened Friday morning shortly after 2:30 in the 400 block of W. 34th St. in Wichita. Location of shooting Paramedics have taken the man to a hospital for treatment. No arrests have been made. Expect more on Eyewitness News This Morning.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a near drowning in the 5400 block of E. Funston in southeast Wichita. A 32 year-old-man was pulled from a pool but was unresponsive. The patient regained consciousness on the way to the hospital and told paramedics he was learning how to swim. The man was taken to Wesley Medial center.

Two people were killed in a crash along Highway 56 in Dickinson County Friday morning. The Kansas Highway Patrol says a driver went across the center line and collided with a pickup south of Herrington. Twenty-year-old Amber Alfred of Junction City and 2-year-old Josiah Alfred died in the crash. Both were passengers in the car. Two other people, including the driver of the car, were flown to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis in Wichita. Paramedics took four other people to Herrington Hospital.

Smoking may be the cause of an apartment fire in Wichita Thursday. The fire started just before noon at the Shirkmere Apartments at 256 N. Topeka. A man tells investigators his cigarette fell into the cushions of his couch. The man inhaled smoke and due to a pre-existing medical condition, paramedics took him to a Wichita hospital in critical condition. Firefighters managed to contain the fire to a small area within the apartment.
