An elderly man is killed after a two vehicle accident in southeast Sedgwick County. It happened before 6 o'clock Sunday night near 55th street south and 143rd street east. Officials say a car and a pickup truck came up to a stop sign at the intersection. The car ran through it and collided with the pickup truck. The 86-year-old driver in the car died at the scene, The driver of the pickup was treated with non-life threatening injuries.

Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a deadly accident in Pratt County. The accident happened Monday evening around five o'clock on K-61 west of Preston. The accident involved a semi and a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup was killed at the scene. The driver of the semi was not injured.

Two die in a car crash in Montgomery County. It happened Saturday evening. Authorities say that a the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was driving westbound on U400 approaching the U169 overpass. At the same time a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on U400 approaching the overpass. The trucks front driver side tire tread seperated, this caused the vehicle to swerve into the path of the car. The vehicles hit each other head on. Two people in the Silverado died. One of them was not wearing a seatbelt.

A man from Strong City dies in a crash in Woodson County. It happened friday afternoon five miles from yates center. Authorities say two people were in a pickup truck when the driver lost control and entered a ditch, then hit a tree.  The passenger of the car was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was also injured.

Kansas Highway Patrol reports that a 2-year old boy running into the middle of the street is hit and killed in Meade County. It happened Friday night in the town of Plains. A pickup truck was heading north on erie Street when it hit Konnor Wilkerson. The driver of the truck was not hurt.

A two year old boy wandering through a pasture in rural Labette County dies after being hit by a pickup truck. It happened around 7:00pm Saturday night a half mile South of Oswego. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a 30 year old woman was driving the truck through the pasture at the same time.  She was unable to see the boy, and ran over him. The two year old was rushed to the Freeman Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Emergency crews are called to a West Wichita apartment complex after someone noticed a pickup truck in a pond.  It happened at the Crown Chase Apartments on N. Ridge Road. See More Pictures of the Truck in the Pond No one was in the truck, but it took over an hour for crews to get it out of the pond. Police tell our news partners at KFDI Radio that the pickup was reported stolen from a club overnight.  No one was hurt and police have not made any arrests.

By Ryan Johnson (RENO COUNTY, Kan.) A Kingman man dies after being involved in a single vehicle accident. Reno County emergency crews responded to the wreck Saturday afternoon, a half mile west of Dean Road on Pretty Prairie Road. The vehicle was a pickup truck driven by 80 year old Ivan L. Richert.  Authorities say Richart lost control of his truck and eventually rolled five times into a wheat field. Richart was complaining of chest pain and was air lifted by life team to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

A lawn company worker is in critical condition after falling from a pickup truck Tuesday morning.  It happened in the 9400 block of E. Bedell.  Police tell us the worker was riding in the back of a truck, but he fell out as the truck turned a corner.  The man fell and struck his head on the ground. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police impounded the vehicle in case the victim's condition worsens.  No word yet on possible charges, but police tell us they always conduct their investigation under the assumption that charges will be filed.  Lt. Joe Schroeder with the Wichita Police Department tells us it's easier to pull back an investigation than to try to ramp it up later.

Two Sedgwick County Deputies were presented with Carnegie Medals for their actions in August of 2011.  Deputy Thomas Delgado and Deputy Joseph Page pulled a 65-year-old Wichita man out of a burning pickup truck on August 31st, 2011. Authorities say the driver suffered a medical condition while driving and motor assist vehicle near 63rd S. and Broadway, then another vehicle...then ran into a bridge and caught fire near MacArthur. Deputies Delgado and Page pulled the man to safety, injuring themselves in the process.

A Hutchinson teenager has been arrested for drunk driving after another teenager fell out of the bed of a truck. Officers responded to the scene near Trails West and Salem near Abbyville around 5:15 a.m. Saturday. They found Dawson Harris, 19, suffering from serious head injuries. Investigators said Harris was placed in the bed of a pickup truck after passing out at a nearby party. The driver of the truck Tanner Nicks, 18, did not notice Harris was missing until arriving in Hutchinson.

A lawn company worker is in critical condition after falling from a pickup truck Tuesday morning.  It happened in the 9400 block of E.
