Two Wichita officers are hurt after a suspect rams his vehicle into their cruiser. It happened on 300 block of south McComas around 1:30 this morning. That's near West and Maple. Police say two officers tried to pull over a driver of a pick-up truck who was acting suspiciously. The vehicle refused to stop...and the officers gave chase. At one point, the suspect driver did stop and the cops pulled up behind it. Police say that's when the suspect backed his truck into the police cruiser.

Someone set a Wichita police car on fire earlier this month.  The squad car was parked in front of an officer's home in south east Wichita.  Click here to see photos. Police say the officer woke up around 2 a.m. on April 21st and found his car on fire.  Police say the fire was intentionally set and caused about $36,000 in damage.  There are no suspects in the case, it's under investigation. A second car fire leads to four arrests in connection with a burned police car. Wichita police say Saturday morning around 2:30 emergency crews found a stolen car that had been burned at Osage Park, near 31st St. S. and Meridian. As officers investigated, they put together clues and found connections to an earlier fire that destroyed a squad car. The squad car was burned outside an officers home in early April. Investigators say the fire caused about $36,000 in damage. Clues from the second fire led police to arrest an 18-year-old man, a 17-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl over the weekend.

A Wichita man rams a patrol car after police pull him over.  The incident happened around 10:50 Tuesday night in the 2800 block of E. Stadium. Police say they stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation.  The driver pulled into a driveway, but would not unlock his doors or roll down his window.  Police then broke the window to try and talk to the man.  When they busted the glass, the man put his car into reverse and slammed into the patrol car.  ...

An 18-year-old Wichita man was arrested shortly after he was the victim of a crime. Wichita police responded to a robbery call around 1:00 Thursday morning in the 1800 block of North Woodland. Police say an 18-year-old male and 20-year-old female reported their vehicle had been taken from them. When police arrived they allowed the 18-year-old to sit in a police car to get out of the cold. When investigators took him downtown to question him about the robbery they found electronics and pre-paid debit cards in his pocket.

Wichita police arrest a man they say was impersonating a police officer Thursday night. A real officer noticed another car, which had red and blue lights and a siren, speeding south in the 2300 block of S. West Street. The officer tried to stop the other car, which pulled into a private driveway. The 40-year-old driver told the officer he saw someone else run a red light and he was trying to pull that driver over. The driver was taken in for questioning and arrested on charges of impersonating a police officer and traffic violations.

Wichita police arrest a woman after a bizarre incident early Wednesday morning.  Police say a 45-year-old man reported his 35-year-old girlfriend came home drunk around 1:45 am and sat on his chest. She started hitting the man several times, then performed oral sex, biting him in the genitalia leaving visible marks. As officers tried to take the woman into custody, she kicked the victim, then kicked out a rear passenger window of the police car. Photographs of the injuries were taken to be submitted into evidence, but the man was not seriously hurt.

A Kansas group feels the current policy Wichita Police have is partly responsible for the death of 12 year old Suhani Bhakta. Last weekend she was killed after being hit by a police car that was headed to a burglary. She was trying to cross Broadway a the time. The officer did not have it's lights or sirens on. Sanjay Shah, the President of the Cultural Association of India, is starting a petition to create a law requiring officers to have their lights and sirens going when in pursuit of a suspect or going to a crime scene.

 Attorney Tom Warner Jr. started his work on the case the day after the crash. "I felt like this was a case that warranted a very hard look," says Warner. But just like the public, Warner still has few answers about what happened. "At this point in time I've been stonewalled in getting access to this information. " Warner, who represents Christopher Perkins' family, wants a chance for his own investigators to see the evidence. Perkins was killed December 13th when police say he turned in front of a police cruiser.

A man and woman admit to armed robberies in Hamilton and Greeley counties. Kristina Lashmet and Ryan Swisher, both of Johnson City, pled guilty to one count each of aiding and abetting the discharge of a firearm during a robbery. The pair admits that on Feb. 14, they and a third person drove to the Loves Country Store in Syracuse, Kan. Seeing a police car parked nearby, they drove instead to Eagle Travel Plaza in Tribune. At the Eagle Travel Plaza, the third person, John Shore pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money.

If you're a fan of the TNT hit show 'The Closer', you'll want to talk with Christine Sementelli.  The Wichita woman won a role on the show and her episode will air Monday night at 8 p.m.  Sementelli was the highest bidder for a charity auction benefiting the Child Advocacy Center of Sedgwick County.  The CACSC coordinates agencies and helps children during child abuse investigations. "When there's already crisis going on in an investigation, we're there to be able to advocate for the child and help in any way we possibly can," said CACSC Executive Director Diana Schunn.

One man is in custody, another is still at large following an early morning chase through the streets of Wichita, ending in Goddard. Around 1:30am Saturday, officers spotted a suspicious looking truck near the intersection of Texas & Dodge.  When they tried to pull it over, the driver attempted to flee. At one point, the truck pulled over near the intersection of McComas & Maple.  One the police car pulled up behind it, the truck's driver backed the vehicle into the officer's vehicle, before taking off. The officers were transported the hospital with minor injuries.

Wichita police recover a car that was stolen from a woman's driveway Tuesday morning.  It started in the 2100 block of S. Madison early Tuesday. A 52-year-old woman started the car to warm it up, when she returned to the car, someone was trying to drive away in it.   The woman and her husband tried to block the car, but the driver backed over the woman and took off.  She was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Police caught up with the car Tuesday afternoon near Central and Bracken.
