Wichita police credit a citizen for breaking up a string of recent robberies. That tip led officers to check out a home in the 700 block of S. Sylvan. Officers set up outside the home. A short time later, other officers were called to a robbery at a Kwik Shop on E. Douglas. The robbers left that robbery scene in a green Pontiac. A short time later, police on S. Sylvan noticed that same car pull up to the house they were monitoring. One person got out and the car drove off. Officers followed the vehicle to the 4800 block of E. Harry.

Wichita Police are searching for a suspect after a man was shot during an aggravated robbery. It happened in the 6500 block of E. Cottonwood around 9 p.m. Friday. Police said a man in his 20s was walking, when another man approached him. The two struggled, but the victim managed to get away. Police said the suspect fired a shot as the man ran away. The bullet struck the victim in the buttocks. The injured man walked into Via Christi Hospital on east Harry for treatment. He was transported to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis.

Wichita police are asking the public for help as they try to figure out what happened in a W. Wichita parking lot late Sunday. "There are some things that seem a little bit out of place," said Wichita Police Spokesman Lt. Doug Nolte. Police say it all started at the Best Buy on W. Kellogg at around 9:00. The 62-year-old victim and a man in his thirties were in a parked car when the younger man took the keys and left the man stranded. Police say the victim called the man who took his keys and was told that someone else would bring them back to him. At around 9:30, a car pulled up with the man who took the keys and another man. One of them got out and threatened the victim with a black long-barreled pistol and demanded his wallet and checkbook.

Wichita police are looking for three robbers after two separate cases over the weekend. The first happened early Sunday morning at the Quik Trip at 13th & West Street. Police say two men came into the store, one of them struck a worker on the head while the other man grabbed cigarettes. The two then left the store. The employee was not seriously hurt. Then, Sunday afternoon, someone robbed the Dillons on East Douglas. Police say a man walked into the store with a gun. He threatened a worker, then took merchandise and cash.

Update: Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter says a bank robbery suspect killed in an officer-involved shooting Wednesday afternoon killed himself. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Horace Gwyn, was spotted by a deputy as he was running from the Credit Union of America early Wednesday morning. Sheriff Easter says Gwyn fired a shot at the deputy while being chased. He then started to turn toward the deputy and raised the gun to his own head. The deputy fired five shots at him, hitting him once in the upper back.

Authorities are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Cimarron Monday. The robbery happened around 11:40 at the Credit Union of Dodge City on Main Street in Cimarron. Police say the suspect showed a gun inside the bank and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured during the robbery. The suspect is described as a white male, about 5'10" with a medium build. He was wearing dark colored plastic sunglasses, a fake beard that covered most of his face and a hooded sweatshirt.

Update: Wichita police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with four armed robberies, including one where the victim died of a heart attack hours later. Police say the man was arrested and booked on all four aggravated robberies, along with charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Investigators will present the case to the District Attorney's Office for formal charges. Police say whether he'll be charged in 73-year-old Byron Shipman's death will be up to the DA. Shipman is one of the victims in the case. He died of a heart attack hours after being held at gunpoint and robbed.

Wichita police believe they have the man responsible for three overnight robberies. The first happened at 10:00 Wednesday night at the Sonic in the 1200 block of N. Broadway. Police say the robber went into the business through the front door. He was carrying a gun and demanded cash. At least two people were inside the building. They were able to give him some cash. Eyewitnesses say they saw the robber leave and walk across the street to meet with a second person who was at the KC Gas Station across the street.

Wichita police are investigating an armed robbery at a Quik Trip. The robbery happened around 5:30 Tuesday morning at the Maple and West gas station. According to our news partners at KFDI, a robber walked into the gas station and demanded money. He then walked out the back door. They say he then got on a silver ten speed bike and took off.

Police say a Wichita man lost his pants in a robbery at the Days Inn in on East Kellogg Wednesday morning. Police say five people, including a one-year-old, were in the room when they let the two suspects in the room. The suspects, a man and woman both in their 20's, were armed with handguns. The male suspect told the male victim take off his pants. He did and the suspects took off with the pants. Police say nothing else was taken. It's not known why the suspect wanted the pants. Police aren't saying how the suspects knew the victims, or if drugs were involved.
