(WICHITA, Kan.) The storm is gone, but the snow it generated blankets Kansas. Wichita and Sedgwick county reported a combined 70 accidents by the end of Friday's work day. Friday night drivers in Wichita drove over a lot of it. Three to four inches of snow covered many city roadways. The Emergency Accident Reporting Plan stayed in effect for more than 24 hours. And snow plows were a coveted commodity. State highways and interstates saw more plows, but still saw numerous accidents.

A lot of snow means a lot of work for A&A Towing. "It's exhausting," owner Buzz Livengood. "First your wearing a huge amount of clothes, twice as many as you'd normally wear, so all movements are restrictive. Then there's a lot normally wear. " Owner Buzz Livengood says they've towed dozen of cars since the snow started. "We're a lot like a fire department you sit around, you tow this, a little bit of this, a little bit of that and all of a sudden the bell rings and it's all hands on deck," Livengood said.

The snow kept law enforcement busy overnight, working accident after accident. "I think there's probably a little more snow than everyone thought it was going to be. It came in pretty quick and it was blowing pretty bad for a while there," said Kansas Highway Patrol Trooper Ryan Tauer. At times before dusk, drivers had a hard time seeing where they were going. "The visibility gets cut down greatly when the snow is blowing. You get the reduced visibility of course when the sun was down it was dark so you couldn't see as well and people were following too close," said Tauer.
