Even if the Big XII ends tomorrow, member schools will have to play together for at least the 2010-2011 season. Nebraska, which joined the Big Ten on Friday, wants to begin play in 2011. However, schools must give the Big XII two years notice if they plan to leave. According to the Lawrence Journal-World, Nebraska would lose half the revenue earned during that time and up to 90-percent for leaving early. Nebraska wouldn't have to pay anything if the conference dissolves.
