Meade V LaCrosse First Half Shot Sheet 11:12 left in the first quarter - Trevin Wiens breaks through the line and sheds a defender - he hits the far sideline for a 76 yard touchdown. LaCrosse's Levi Morss pounds in the one yard touchdown but the score is not tied. The extra point is no good. 7-6 Meade keeps the lead. Meade's Chris Hardaway tries to get the passing attack going but it turns into a pick by Marshall Jay. A momentum boost however not converted. Meade takes control with 7:40 left in the half - Hardaway takes in the one yard run. 14-6 Meade.

Kevin Young's goal early in overtime completed the Thunder's come-from-behind bid on Sunday afternoon, beating the Missouri Mavericks 4-3 at INTRUST Bank Arena. Neil Trimm, Chad Painchaud and Young led the way for the Thunder as each had two points for the Thunder. It was the second-straight comeback win for Wichita on the weekend as the Thunder came back on Saturday night and won at Missouri by the final of 6-4. The Thunder lead the season-series 3-0 and play the Mavericks seven more times this season.

Kevin Durant scored 18 points and James Harden added 16 to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to an 88-66 preseason victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night. Serge Ibaka scored all 15 of his points in the first half for the Thunder. The Mavericks, playing without Dirk Nowitzki, Shawn Marion and Vince Carter, were led by Jae Crowder's 21 points and nine rebounds. Brandan Wright added 11 points. Oklahoma City went on 14-4 run in the first quarter to take a 21-14 lead and was never threatened after that.

Wichita fell behind early and couldn't recover, losing their home and season opener to the Tulsa Oilers, 4-3, on Friday Night at INTRUST Bank Arena. Matt Summers and Kevin Young led the way with two points for Wichita while David Beauregard and Gary Steffes paced the Oilers with two points as well. The Thunder return to action tomorrow night against Tulsa at 7:05 p.m.   The Oilers jumped out to a three-goal lead, getting scores from Michel Beausoleil, Steffes and Ben Gordon.

The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced today that they have re-signed forward Dustin Donaghy and defenseman Kevin Young to the roster for the upcoming 2012-13 season. The Thunder also announced that they have agreed to terms with defenseman Kyle Radke and forward Don Melnyk.   Donaghy, 23, begins his third season as a pro and third in Wichita. He was acquired in a trade with the Allen Americans in mid-Jaunary of the 2010-11 season. Last year, Donaghy tallied eight goals and 14 points while collecting a career-high 68 penalty minutes.

The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced today that there are changes to their road schedule for the upcoming 2012-13 season. The Thunder also announced that tickets will go on sale to the general public this upcoming Wednesday, September 19 th . Two games against the Texas Brahmas have been rescheduled. The Thunder will travel to take on the Brahmas on Sunday, November 11 th at 4 p.m. instead of Wednesday, November 7 th . The following month, Wichita will face the Brahmas on Sunday, December 16 th at 4 p.m. instead of Wednesday, December 12 th . Also, Wichita's game on February 2 nd at Quad City has been moved back to Wednesday, January 2 nd at 7:05 p.m. I ndividual tickets for the 2012-13 season will go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, September 19 th . Season ticket holders will have the opportunity to purchase extra tickets on September 17 th and 18 th . Wichita opens the season on Friday, October 19 th against the Quad City Mallards and Saturday, October 20 th against the Tulsa Oilers.

The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced today that they have come to terms with forwards Matt Tassone, Ian Lowe and defenseman Jon Madden for the 2012-13 season.   Tassone, 22, spent last year with the Ontario Reign of the ECHL. A sixth-round draft pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars, Tassone enters his third season as a pro. Last year, he tallied 13 points (5g, 8a) in 23 games with the Reign. He began his professional career in 2010-11 with the Idaho Steelheads, where he scored 10 points (7g, 3a)

The Wichita Thunder have released their schedule for the 2012-13 season. The Thunder tied a franchise-high 44 wins last season, won a Berry Conference title, claimed the Bud Poile Governor's Cup and went to the CHL Finals for the first time since 1998. The Thunder will begin the season with a pair of home games on opening weekend, hosting the Quad City Mallards on Friday, October 19 and the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday, October 20. The Central Hockey League will feature one 10-team conference this season, known as the Berry Conference.

The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League brought back two key pieces from last year's team today, announcing the signings of forward Matt Summers and defenseman Jarred Mohr as well as adding rookie forward Todd Hosmer to the roster for the 2012-13 season.   Summers, 26, enters his sixth season as a pro and second in Wichita. The Savage, Minnesota native led the Thunder in scoring last year with 61 points and was tied for ninth in assists with 42. He was named the Sher-Wood CHL Player of the Month last October and was third in the league in shooting percentage (.202)
