Colt Ryan had 24 points and eight assists and Evansville made seven free throws over the final last 1:25 to hold off No. 23 Wichita State for a 71-67 victory Sunday. The Aces (11-6, 4-1 Missouri Valley Conference) took advantage of a season-high 22 turnovers by Wichita State (15-2, 4-1) to win their fourth straight conference game. There were 16 lead changes and 13 ties in the game. The Shockers' biggest lead was five points, while the Aces' was six points. Evansville had a 27-9 advantage in points off turnovers.

Following their most troubling loss of the season, Wichita State must turn things around Wednesday against Evansville. The Shockers (10-3, 1-1 MVC) need a big game from Carl Hall and Garrett Stutz, the biggest of their big men, who had a bad game against Creighton last Saturday. Evansville is 2-0 in conference play after beating Northern Iowa Sunday night. Wichita State defeated 18th ranked UNLV 89-70 Sunday afternoon at Koch Arena. The Shockers outscored the Rebels 47-32 after the first half. Joe Ragland led the way with 31 point on 9 of 12 shooting. That included going 8 of 9 from 3-point range. Carl hall added 17 points. The Shockers shot 59% for the game. Chace Stanback led UNLV in scoring with 16 points. With the win the Shockers improve to 5-2 overall. There next game at Tulsa on December 7th.

Wichita State wrapped up the baseball regular season on the road at Creighton Saturday afternoon. The Shockers looking for a little momentum, heading into next week's Missouri Valley Conference tournament which they got. The Shockers picked up the 5-1 victory over the Blue Jays in Omaha. Eric Harbutz went 2-5 with a pair of RBI and Johnny Coy was 4-5 to lead a WSU offensive explosion that included 14 hits. The Shockers also got strong pitching from A-J Ladwig and Albert Minnis who combined to give up 11 hits, but just one run in the contest.

WSU went down in the first round of the NCAA Tournament 25-18, 25-22, 25-17 to K-State. Sarah Waldorf led the Shockers with 22 digs in three games against the Wildcats. Kaitlynn Pelger led K-State with 15 kills. WSU has appeared in 6 NCAA Tournaments and holds a 4-5 record. The Shockers end the season 21-11.

The 15th-ranked Wichita State Shockers (19-2, 8-1) look for their 19th consecutive home victory on Tuesday night as Indiana State (13-7, 6-3) visits Koch Arena. Wichita State is coming off a 34-point victory over Bradley at home this past Saturday.  Indiana State beat Northern Iowa in Terre Haute by three points on that same day. The Shockers have won 8 of the last 9 meetings against the Sycamores and have won 8 home games in a row against Indiana State.  The last time that Indiana State pullled off a win at Koch Arena was back in 2004.

Four different Shockers scored in double-digits with three players scoring 18 or more as Wichita State (24-5, 12-4) trounced Detroit (18-10, 10-4) 94-79 in the Shockers' Bracket Buster game.  That's the highest point total for the Shockers in the regular season this year. Malcolm Armstead paced Wichita State in scoring with 20 points while Carl Hall and Cleanthony Early each added 18 with Demetric Williams scoring 14.  Carl and Cleanthony added 8 and 7 rebounds respectively. Wichita State's defense held Detroit to less than 40% shooting from 3-point range but Nick Minnerath and Ray McCallum were still able to light up the scoreboard.  Minnerath had 25 points and 7 rebounds for the Titans while McCallum led all scorers with 29 points.

The campus is showing off a piece of history that dates back to the 1936 Berlin Games. Those games were the first time men's basketball was a feature sport.

Courtesy of Wichita State - WICHITA, Kan.- Four Shockers had two or more RBI as the Wichita State baseball team won their series over Illinois State with a 12-2 win on Saturday night at Eck Stadium. A.J. Ladwig got the win for Wichita State pitching 5.2 innings and allowing two runs on eight hits. Garrett Bayliff went 4-for-6 at the plate with three RBI. Eric Harbutz went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The Shockers started the game off on the right foot, batting around in the lineup in the bottom of the first inning to score five runs.

Led by Carl Hall with 19 points, the Shockers won it's fourth game of the season over Cal-State Fullerton, 75-60 at Koch Arena. Joe Ragland had 15 points and David Kyles followed with 14 to get the victory over the Titans. The game was sluggish from the start as neither team shot the ball well in the opening minutes. Demetric Williams finally hit a basket after six and a half minutes to keep the Shockers ahead. Wichita State (4-2) lead by only four at halftime before opening things up in the second half for a 15 point lead at the final buzzer.
