The Wichita Wingnuts (33-20) lost 9-8 to the Kansas City T-Bones (29-26) at Community America Ballpark on Friday night. Kansas City rallied for three runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to overcome an 8-6 deficit. Devin Goodwin opened the inning with a line drive single to left against Matt Nevarez, who was working for a third consecutive day. After Nevarez struck out pinch hitter Pat Trettel, Justin Bass doubled off the left field wall to put runners on second and third.

The Wichita Wingnuts (32-18) lost 3-2 to the Amarillo Sox (28-23) at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium on Tuesday night. Wichita mounted a late comeback that ultimately fell one run short, with Amarillo's bullpen stranding the tying run in scoring position in both the eigth and ninth innings. Trailing 3-0 in the top of the sixth, Jared McDonald reached on an error by second baseman Jake Opitz. Two batters later, Ryan Khoury tripled into the right field corner to put the Wingnuts on the board.

The Wichita Wingnuts (32-16) lost 3-2 to the Amarillo Sox (26-23) at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium on Sunday evening. The Wichita Wingnuts (31-15) snapped a four-game losing streak, beating the Amarillo Sox (25-23) 6-3 at Amarillo National Bank Sox Stadium on Saturday night. Gerardo Avila broke a 3-3 tie with a two-out, three run home run in the top of the eighth to help support seven and one-third strong innings from Wingnuts' starter Derek Blacksher.  Blacksher was working on three days of rest. Ryan Khoury lined a one-out single down the right field line in the top of the eighth.  Jared McDonald hit a groundball to second base and beat out a potential double play relay to first to keep the inning alive.  A wild pitch sent McDonald to second and prompted an intentional walk to John Rodriguez.  Avila ripped a home run on the next pitch over the upper fence of advertisements in right-center.

The Wichita Wingnuts (31-14) lost 10-5 to the Grand Prairie AirHogs (33-13) at QuikTrip Park on Friday night. Wichita has lost four games in a row for the first time since June 18th-22nd of last year. The Wingnuts had a 4-0 lead after three and a half innings, but Grand Prairie rattled off 10 unanswered runs starting in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead. Brian Myrow started the AirHogs' comeback with an RBI single down the right field line in the bottom of the fourth inning.

The Wichita Wingnuts (31-13) lost 9-5 to the Grand Prairie AirHogs (32-13) at QuikTrip Park on Wednesday night. The Wichita Wingnuts made two roster additions on Tuesday, signing rookies Blake Bergeron and Zac Mitchell. Bergeron (pronounced BAR-jer-ahn) recently finished a four-year career at Nicholls State University in Louisiana.  A first baseman, Bergeron hit .278 with seven home runs and 37 RBI in 54 games played during his senior season.  The right-handed hitting Bergeron starred in the 2010 National Baseball Congress World Series for the Liberal Bee Jays, hitting .361 with three home runs and 15 RBI in eight games to capture MVP honors and lead the Bee Jays to the tournament championship.

The Wichita Wingnuts (31-12) lost 5-4 to the Grand Prairie AirHogs (31-13) at QuikTrip Park on Tuesday night. Former Wingnuts' closer Justin Dowdy nailed down a four-out save to prevent Wichita from overcoming a late, four-run deficit. Trailing 5-1 in the top of the eighth, Ryan  Khoury walked, took second when Sean Smith was hit by a pitch.  John Rodriguez singled off the body of AirHogs' reliever Griffin Bailey to load the bases.  David Peralta sliced the lead to 5-3 with a ground rule double to right-center field.  With second and third and no outs, Bailey was relieved by Jakob Cunningham.  Jared McDonald drove in Rodriguez with a sacrifice fly that made it 5-4 and pushed Peralta as the tying run to third base.  Cunningham then retired Blake Bergeron on a foul popup that was caught by a reaching Chris McMurray.  Dowdy relieved Cunningham and struck out Taylor Freeman to end the inning.

The Wichita Wingnuts (31-11) defeated the Winnipeg Goldeyes (26-16) 8-5 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Sunday afternoon. Josh Lowey worked seven strong innings to win his 19th consecutive decision dating back to last year, and allow Wichita's offense to overcome a pair of early three-run deficits. Trailing 4-1 in the bottom of the third, Sean Smith saw nine pitches from Winnipeg starter Todd Privett before drawing a leadoff walk.  Smith went to third base on John Rodriguez's groundball double down the right field line.  David Peralta helped slice the lead to 4-3 with a line drive double to left.

The Wichita Wingnuts (30-10) lost 9-1 to the Winnipeg Goldeyes (24-16) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Friday night. Winnipeg hit three home runs in the win, and took early control with a four-run top of the second. With the bases loaded and no outs, Kyle Day lined a double down the left field line to score Luis Alen and Gabby Martinez with the games' first two runs. David Naradowski made it 3-0 with an RBI groundout to first base. Dan Barbero singled home Day with a soft line drive to left field.
